For Mitchell to be here with her, it has to be for a reason.

And damn if she wasn t already suspecting what and who the reason could be. Michael s attitude that night he came looking for her, and now the distraught look Mitchell has on, it s all just adding up.

She looked at her over the brim of her cup. Mitchell s cup of coffee was long finished. She had it down in one gulp.

"Tell." She said before she could stop herself

"What?" She asked

"You tried so hard to force the cheerfulness since your arrival, and it could have worked on some other person but I can see through that. Don t blame me," she said, with a shrug

"It's nothing." Mitchell denied

"It s something. Tell," she said, gently. Right, I may not have a solution to offer, I don t always have that but I do know how to listen and keep a secret," she said.

"I wish I d had someone who could listen to me too and keep my secret." She added quietly.
