The Just Another Day

Jake wakes up and gets ready for the day because today is Sunday. He knows it will take time before things get normal again. So, he wants to distract himself. Later, he plans to visit her folks, but he changes his mind because of his father’s lecture, which was on his mind. Jack was sitting on the couch, staring at the window, which was open to the back where you could see the woods. He was staring at the trees.

What am I doing? I wanted to distract myself, but I was gazing at the woods and kept thinking about death, which I don’t want to think about.
