Consequences.

When we left, I could not bring myself to look at Zhan. It was difficult for me to gauge how he was feeling, and I did not want to unintentionally convey any feelings of pity or hatred toward him. As a result, I walked ahead without looking back, hoping to give him some space and privacy to process his own emotions.

"We should visit my sister," Zhan's mom sighed, breaking the silence. I turned my head slightly, catching a glimpse of Zhan's downcast expression before resuming my forward walk, torn between wanting to offer support and respecting his need for space.

By the time we stepped outside the gate, we noticed two cars were waiting for us. Liu drove, and Jackson sat in front. I took the rear passenger seat, and Yubin joined me. To my surprise. Urza drove the other car, with Zhan and Cheng sitting back. Liu followed Urza.

Wang, please give Zhan some time and space. We suffered immensely where we were, under the false impression that it was you all along. I'm glad it wasn't. Yubin sighed heavily. It must have been difficult for him too. I thought to myself and nodded, acknowledging his thoughts.

When all this is over, we will create a memorial dedicated to Meng. Until then, if you need anything or someone to talk to, please know that we are always here to listen. Don't hesitate to reach out. I gently patted his shoulder. Yubin smiled sadly and nodded his head in acknowledgment.

I had not been to Zhan's house, but Liu and Jackson had been there before. It was a four-bedroom house, and I was surprised to hear that Zhan was sleeping in the basement. Urza got out of the car, and we followed him inside.

As we entered the house. The family was seated in front of the TV, laughing and chatting, while their son was on his phone, intermittently joining in the laughter. "Hello sister," I heard Zhan's mom's voice.

The expression on her face and that of her husband was a mixture of shock and fear, while their son, on the other hand, smiled brightly as he spotted Zhan. The sight triggered a surge of rage within me, and I found myself wanting to tear his throat out.

He smiled and walked towards him. I stood in front of Zhan defensively and growled, "If you touch him, I will rip your throat out."

Liu and Jackson snickered behind me. I honestly didn't care.

Who the Fuck Are You? The haughty tone of his voice pierced the air, carrying a hint of resentment and disdain. His words left me bewildered, unsure of how to respond. I couldn't grasp the question's intention.

"The one that will rip your heart out if you don't stop talking," Cheng hissed, his eyes narrowing with warning. His parents, sensing the tension, pulled him behind them, shielding him from further confrontation.

Sister, you have truly aged gracefully. Zhan's mom smiled as she sat on the chair and gestured for us to sit. The warm expression on her face contrasted with the intensity in her eyes, hinting at the hidden emotions she was trying to conceal.

"You haven't aged a bit, Bai Yan," Zhan's uncle said, breaking the tension in the room. So, her name is Bai Yan, I thought to myself, as I took a seat and prepared for the conversation that was about to unfold.

Ru and Hao, I saw how you treated my son in his house, calling him all sorts of names and beating the sweet life out of him. And you, Mao, Urza gritted his teeth. I watched you and your stupid friends abuse my son. Urza screeched. The sound he made was deafening and filled with anger.

Bai Yan, your son deserves everything that happened to him. I have always hated you. Ma cheated on pa and got pregnant with you, knowing you are a bastard. However, pa still treated you better than me. I hate you deeply and wish you and your son died.

Pa's actions have led me to harbor intense hatred for you. He has brought nothing but pain and suffering into my life, and I believe it is only fitting that he experiences the same fate. Ma's actions have hurt others, and also tarnished our family's image.

I have always been mistreated and ignored by my pa, even though he should have taken care of me equally. However, you, a bastard child, were treated far better than me. This injustice has fueled my resentment towards you and your son. Pa's actions are reprehensible, and you deserve contempt. I believe that your death would bring justice and peace to me. Ru sneered.

Ru, I may be a bastard, but I was always obedient and didn't sleep around. On the other hand, you always exhibited reckless behavior and upset father. In spite of his efforts, you turned a deaf ear to him. Bai Yan expressed sadness over the situation.

You should have died when ma died, Bai. Ru sneered with hatred as she uttered these words. It was evident that she held deep resentment for Bai. She believed that Bai had outlived her usefulness and should have perished along with her mother.

I don't regret maltreating Zhan, she continued. Her tone was cold and detached, without remorse or guilt. She seemed to revel in the pain that she had inflicted upon Zhan. The pain Zhan felt was the exact pain I felt in my father's house.

Ru saw Zhan's suffering as a form of retribution, a way to alleviate her own pain. She saw no distinction between her own suffering and Zhan's,believing their pain was equivalent.

As I watched Ru revel in the pain she had caused, a dark thought crossed my mind. Perhaps it was time to show her the true depths of agony, to make her understand the difference between inflicting pain and experiencing it firsthand.

My movements were swift and imperceptible. With calculated precision, I slashed her son's throat with my claws, spilling blood onto the floor. The sight and sound of gurgling breathfilled the air with sickening silence. The crimson liquid pooled beneath him, creating a gruesome scene that would haunt his mother's nightmares for years to come. The impact of my actions was immediate, as Ru's eyes widened in shock.

Unable to contain her anguish, she cried, a piercing scream, her agony etched on her face. However, I was determined not to let the pain linger. Without hesitation, I swiftly moved on to my next target.

With ruthless efficiency, I ripped her husband's heart from his chest, feeling the life drain out of him. The lifeless organ thudded onto the floor, adding to the pool of crimson liquid surrounding them.

Ru's screams intensified as she realized my brutality. Her once vibrant face was now contorted with horror, her eyes filled with disbelief and terror.

The sight of her son's lifeless body, along with her husband's heart lying lifeless on the floor, created a chilling scene. The silence that followed was broken only by her continued agony screams, piercing the air like daggers.

Despite her pleas for mercy, I remained silent, my face devoid of emotion. I reveled in her suffering, knowing that the consequences of her actions had finally caught up with her.

In that moment, her world shattered. The love she had once felt for her husband and son had been replaced with unbearable pain and anguish. The consequences of her betrayal had been laid bare, leaving her to bear witness to the destruction she had wrought.

And so, I walked out, leaving a trail of destruction behind. I knew my mission had been accomplished for now. Her once peaceful existence was shattered forever, and there was no escape from her consequences.
