Prologue: The Dreamer

<p>"I'm choking.<br/>Yet my body still breathes the breath of life from underneath me."<br/><br/>"My body, once warm with the glow of a burning sun, sits frozen in a pool of dark water."<br/><br/>"If only I..."<br/><br/>"If only I had reached out to her faster."<br/> <br/>"Instead, I hesitated."<br/><br/>"My world where time kept ticking after the dead, seemed to stop."<br/><br/>"It blurs before me."<br/><br/>"But no matter what I do,<br/>what I did cannot be undone."<br/><br/>"For there are eyes who lurk not only in the light of day or dark of night."<br/><br/>"There are eyes who hunt you in the gray."<br/><br/>"In order for you, who knows me not, to understand..."<br/><br/>"I must tell you my story from a time which we forced you to forget."<br/><br/>"Although it wouldn't matter since it will be erased again."<br/><br/>"Or until the messenger is finally ready to tell the tale."<br/><br/>"Until then, the messenger once of this world,<br/>Hear me out."<br/><br/>"I don't have much more conscious left in me."<br/><br/>"This is the story erased from ink."<br/><br/>"I once read a story." <br/><br/>"A very unusual story."<br/><br/>"About a place that couldn't be reached because you chose to."<br/><br/>"However… You go there when it's time too."<br/><br/>"Ah … but you can't reach it in this world."<br/><br/>"Not by walking…?"<br/><br/>"Nope."<br/><br/> "What about driving?"<br/><br/>"Can't do that either."<br/><br/>"Then it has to be by flight! Right?"<br/><br/>"Hmmm… close… you see, you can only reach it in your mind."<br/><br/>"Why?"<br/><br/>"Because it's in a different world, in a far away place, floating in the sky on a piece of rock where there is only a door."<br/><br/>"Does the door go anywhere?"<br/><br/>"It does, but it's locked."<br/><br/>"Locked?!"<br/><br/>"Why yes, it'll be rude to just walk in."<br/><br/>"So you ring the bell… and the door will magically open, revealing a cozy room with a fireplace."<br/><br/>"Then you will hear the person waiting for you to speak these words…"<br/><br/>"If you are a wisher, tell me your wish."<br/><br/>"If you are a storyteller, enlighten me with your stories." <br/><br/>"And if you are a dreamer, tell me your dreams."<br/><br/>"There's so much to talk about in only a few hours."<br/><br/>"Please, come in, so we may inspire each other."<br/><br/>"It's best you don't refuse."<br/><br/>"What is that place?!"<br/><br/>"Well… Some people call it, 'the door of dreams'."<br/><br/>"...
