"This is insane," said the human hematologist who was sent to help us to understand Raven's blood.

"What is insane, Charles?" Ceona's eyebrow arched at him. "Don't tell me you failed to study the blood?"

"What? Are you kidding me?" Charles blurted out as if he was insulted by the pretty lady in front of him. "What I'm trying to say is this blood sample you sent to me is amazing, and I don't have the exact words to describe it. It's insanely mysterious and something that I've never encountered," he added, full of amazement in his voice. He seems thrilled.

And why not? The blood he is currently studying was withdrawn from my Alpha—the one at the top of the food chain and a freak of nature.

"What did you find out? Tell me quickly because I hate wasting my time in your lab," Ceona answered, her lips slightly curved like she was disgusted at the human hematologist.
