Visiting Dad: Part 2

After finding hope, when things seemed like a lost cause, Dahlia finally started to feel better about her father's current state. She may be able to help her father, she at least has to try. Lockhart even had a new glisten of light in his eyes.

"Did the passage say anything about how to tap into the dream realm to make contact?" Lockhart asked. "It seems like a page is missing, there doesn't seem to be any instructions on how to accomplish this" Dahlia said defeated. "What about the council witch? Can she help?" Lockhart asked with hesitation. "I'm not sure if there's anything she can do. Amelia is due to visit Ravenwood in one weeks time" Dahlia replied. "A week?" Lockhart said back nearly a whisper. Dahlia nodded her head yes. It was unfair how their new found hope, could be deflated before it ever had a chance.

"Will my father survive a week?" Dahlia asked coldly. Lockhart looked as though he was caught off guard and scrambled through his reply. "I..ah...umm...well, I mean I hope he does but...you never know in these situations" Lockhart replied staring at his feet. Dahlia stayed silent and thought about her father's current condition. "Could you put me into a sleep coma?" Dahlia asked bluntly. "What!...why would I do that!" Lockhart said with anger. Dahlia didn't back down, its not in her nature. "Because Lockhart, the only way I've been able to tap into the dream realm is being asleep, or in actual coma" Dahlia said unwavering.

Lockhart didn't reply right away. Instead, with his hand on his chin, he paced back and forth in the hospital room, lost in deep thought. "It would be dangerous. I can't guarantee you will be able to wake up, or that you won't have any side affects" Lockhart said as he continued to pace back and forth. Lockhart's pacing came to a halt, when Dahlia said her next words. "I don't care, my father's life is worth the risk" Dahlia said sternly. "But...the pack! The pack needs you, we all need you" Lockhart said with anger. "I understand your concern but we have to at least try!" Dahlia said.

"If it fails, we wait until Amelia arrives to further assist us" Dahlia said. "You make everything sound so simple" Lockhart said. "That's because it is" Dahlia replied. "Think about it. If there were no risks taken in medicine, do you think there would be the advancements there are today?" Dahlia said. Dahlia's comment, softened Lockhart's demeanor. "You do have a fair point. I'm just worried" Lockhart said. "Then get prepared and make sure you're ready for whatever comes your way" Dahlia said. Lockhart let out a chuckle. "What's so funny?" Dahlia said. "You know, it's impossible to say no to you. Regardless, of you being Luna, you always have a valid case to make" Lockhart said. Lockhart's comment made her chuckle. "My dad always said, I'd make one hell of a lawyer" Dahlia said through a giggle.

Lockhart's demeanor changed as he addressed his Luna. He must be out of his mind. "Okay, we will do it" Lockhart said. "Really!?" Dahlia exclaimed. "Under close supervision and monitoring, I think we have a fair chance. When it's time to come out of it, don't fight me" Lockhart said. "I will follow all of your instructions" Dahlia said. "I need to get everything ready. I should have everything ready in 2 hours" Lockhart said. "I'll wait with my dad just let me know when it's time" Dahlia said.

Lockhart nodded his head and rushed out of the room. Dahlia sat staring at her less than lifeless father. "It will be okay dad, I'm going to help if I can" Dahlia said moving her father's hair out of his face. "I'm sure you already know but I am so sorry, I was so hard on you. Apart of me will always feel like I let you down" Dahlia said as a tear fell from her eye and dripped from her chin. "I used to think losing mom was so unfair, yet you lay here with everything out of your control" Dahlia said through a sob. "I hope I can find your wolf and help you two become one again. I just feel it's such an impossible task" Dahlia said once more. "How can I find your wolf, when you've never told me his name?" Dahlia says continuing to breakdown.
