VS Wolves (END)...

"This is fucking crazy!!" Daichi groaned as he had to take back a couple of steps due to the force behind the Pack Leader's lunge. Daichi defended himself by bringing the hammer in front of him or else the wolf had taken a bite out of him. Bella and Daichi have been fighting the Pack Leader for nearly 5 minutes and the wolf was still going strong.

"Milord, I can't go on for much longer" Bella said with a tired look on her face. Daichi was also in a similar situation, his Stamina was also running low. They needed to finish the fight as quickly as possible or the two of them would end up inside the Pack Leader's belly.

Bella had tried almost everything except for her arsenal of Flame Spells, they were around a gas station and Daichi had already warned her off from using any of those Spells or it would have been a lot easier. Bella had also used something called a Killing Curse, which was supposed to be a one-hit kill Spell, but the Spell turned out to be completely useless.

Bella had previously used the same Spell to kill the dog in the Fujimi Academy and that is when she discovered that the Spell was no longer a one-hit kill Spell and that is why she didn't use the Spell against the wolves from the get-go, but now that nothing was working, she decided to give it a try too, but it didn't work out, Bella looked kind of disappointed after the Spell failed even though she didn't have any high hopes.

"Don't worry, Bella. The wolf is also getting tired" Daichi said trying to alleviate Bella's worries and it was true, the wolf was no longer being reckless and it was also tired.

Previously, the wolf continued to attack without bothering about its life, but now the wolf was being careful, which meant that the wolf was probably running low on Mana. Since the wolf was being careful, attacking it had become quite difficult, but they simply needed to land a few more hits. Additionally, the attacks of the wolf have also become quite sluggish, as Daichi only needed to take a couple of steps back when he defended himself.

Daichi was also kind of running low on Mana. Bella had been injured multiple times during the course of the whole fight. As she had realized that her wounds were getting healed on their own, she didn't mind throwing herself in front of Daichi to defend him even though he didn't need it. She only stopped after Daichi told her not to do it anymore. Daichi had tried to turn off the feature, but he had been unsuccessful.

The wolf lunged toward Bella, the wolf had long realized that Bella was more dangerous than Daichi due to her long-range attacks and that is why the wolf had been constantly trying to attack Bella and that is also why Bella had sustained more injuries than Daichi. So, Daichi also rushed toward the wolf, whenever the wolf attacked Bella, Daichi would use the opening to attack the wolf.

Daichi had also realized that the wolf was quite intelligent or it wouldn't have realized that Bella was the one who posed a bigger threat to its life. So, the wolf knew that Daichi was going to attack as soon as it attacked Bella. All of a sudden, the wolf placed its front paws on the ground and twisted its body, the wolf wanted to take Daichi by surprise, but Daichi had been expecting the wolf to attack him by surprise and he had been waiting for a chance just like this.

Daichi already had his hammer ready and he swung the hammer with all of his might as he didn't want to miss the opportunity. The hammer landed at the side of the wolf's head, earning several bone snapping noises from the wolf. The wolf was flung towards the side, but it was still alive. Bella used this chance and Conjured several silver spikes and banished them in direction of the wolf. The spikes pierced through the wolf's skin without any difficulty and the wolf dropped to the ground, barely breathing.

"Milord, I am going to take a nap" Bella said as she slowly lay down on the ground.

Daichi also dropped down to his knees, breathing heavily. He was also running low on Stamina, but he could still stay up for quite some time. So, he slowly made his way toward the Pack Leader, who was still alive, albeit barely. The wolf was staring at him with malice and hatred in his eyes, but it was clear that it could no longer do anything. Daichi raised his hammer and brought it down, bashing in the head of the wolf.

'*whistle* That's quite a lot of Status Points, the wolf was a lot stronger than the Level 2 Zombie from the bridge' Daichi mused. He was waiting for the third notification, so he could finally check out his Status Window.

'Sweet!! Status Window' Daichi called out inside his mind as he slowly made his way towards the two orbs lying on the ground. The familiar yet slightly different Status Window finally appeared in front of his eyes.

'Wow… so, 6 wolves were added to my Level 1 list?' Daichi asked himself even though the answer was already in front of him. Both his Stamina and Mana were quite low, so he felt tired, but right now he couldn't rest. He needed to help Bella and Saeko. He needed to get them somewhere safe, he couldn't leave them lying on the street no matter how safe it looked. Daichi had some minor scratches and bruises, so his Health was slightly lower than the full parameter. That is also why Daichi was unable to use his Rampage Skill.

Due to Bella getting injured, his Mana was quite low, so if he needed to activate the Skill, then he needed to bring down his Health too. Daichi was never going to do that willingly. If he could have activated his Skill then the hunt would have become a lot easier. 'Well… no need to cry over spilled milk' Daichi shrugged and picked up one of the orbs.

Daichi crushed the orb to get the weapon and he was quite impressed with the dagger, it was a bone-white dagger and it was much bigger, sharper, and sturdier than the knife he had been using. Though Daichi couldn't help but wonder how the dagger was so big, especially when the biggest fang of the wolf was as big as his pinky. 'Maybe the Mana Archive created the dagger by combining the teeth or the Mana Archive is using a fake name…' Daichi rubbed his chin for a moment, but then he shrugged it off since the weapon was quite good.

Daichi tucked the dagger around his belt, he didn't want the dagger poking him in questionable places. Then he picked up the second orb, Daichi was extremely giddy about this. He was sure that this was going to be the Skill, Daichi hoped that it was the instantaneous Healing Skill the wolf had. As soon as Daichi grabbed the orb a huge maniacal grin appeared on his face.

When the Skill is activated, any wound sustained by the user will be healed instantly. If the brain of the user gets destroyed, the Skill will activate on its own, but if the user doesn't have enough Mana, then the Skill won't activate].

Even though Daichi was extremely happy, he couldn't help but frown. According to the Skill's description, the user needed to use at least 100 Mana. The wolf had used the Skill more than 20 times and sometimes, the wounds were quite grievous so the wolf must have used more than 100 Mana to heal from those wounds. Even if the wolf only needed 100 Mana each time, the wolf's Mana reserve should have been somewhere around 2000, which was kind of absurd.

'Let's fill up my newly acquired Skill slot' Daichi grinned and crushed the Skill orb in his hand. The Skill was simply way too OP to give away, he was sure that his family members, Bella and Saeko would understand. Bella would never complain since she was a fanatic and it wasn't like that she needed the Skill in the first place. Even if she died, Daichi could resummon her. Now that he was done with everything urgent, he decided to take Saeko and Bella to the gas station. With his Strength parameter, it was going to be a piece of cake…
