Miko's Mystic Eyes

Hikigaya to say that he was surprised, was an understatement. He was shocked at his invitation, it's the same to say that he never thought that he'd be inviting him to eat lunch with them.

"Hikigaya-san?" Hito asked, making Hikigaya snap out of his inner monologue.

"O-oh…you're inviting m-me?" Hikigaya pointed at himself.

"Of course, who else was I going to invite?" He replied a bit teasingly.

"N-no, I thought you were asking the wrong person." Hikigaya started scratching his cheeks as he replied.

"Haha, no I still have 20/20 eyesight thank you very much," Hito answered and thought. 'Maybe even more than 20.'

"I didn't say that."

"That, you didn't, so do you want to have lunch with us?" He said a bit more eagerly, he didn't really want him to reject his invitation.

After all, this is a chance to make a true male friend, he decided that Hikigaya was a perfect candidate for that spot! 

Not only could he relate to him, but Hikigaya also reminded him of himself in the past, heck even in the look department is quite similar.

Seeing his eager look, Hikigaya hesitated but eventually accepted his invitation. "A-alright if you'll have me then…"

That made him smile, he accepted his invitation for lunch.

After his successful task of inviting Hikigaya, he brought him to the spot where his female friends were gathering for lunch.

"Hey, guys." Hito greeted his friends and they greeted back as they noticed his presence.

Then they also noticed Hikigaya who was behind him.

Hikigaya became uncomfortable with the attention that he received from the girls, it's safe to say that he was overwhelmed.

"Is that the new student?" 

Hearing that from Saki, he couldn't help but smile wearily at her and said. "Saki, he's not a new student, did you forget that he got into an accident and it made him unable to go to school for a week due to his injury?"

That made Saki blush for a bit and hurriedly answered. "W-what, of course, knew that! I just called him 'new' because it's the first time I saw him today!"

Okay, that was a cute reaction. "That's a cute reaction."

His words made Saki recoil in shock and then blushed like a tomato. "W-w-what?!"

Oh, did he say that out loud? Well, it doesn't matter, it's true anyway. "It's true, you have a cute reaction, you are cute Saki."

His genuine words made it only harder for Saki, as she couldn't look him in the eyes without blushing, she could only cover her face in front of everyone.

Hikigaya, who was behind him, looked at him with wide eyes and heard him mutter. "Is he a harem protagonist..?"

Okay…he was going to pretend that he didn't hear that.

"Anyway, I'd like you to introduce Hikigaya Hachiman, he's going to have lunch with us today, don't overwhelm him, he's shy." Of course, he didn't forget to message Nishimiya via line.

"Oi, I'm not shy…!" Hikigaya argues.

Hito looks back at him genuinely surprised. "You're not?"

His genuine look of surprise without any sarcastic energy made it hard for him to agree, he couldn't help but look away from his face and reply. "M-maybe a little bit."

Hito nodded, satisfied with Hikigaya's answer.

"Anyway, you should bring your table here so that we could eat together, want me to help?"

"N-no I can do it by myself." Hikigaya shook his head and refused his help.

After that they started their lunch together, surprisingly everyone's lunch was so similar to each other, they could hardly spot any difference.

What are the chances of this happening?

Since when did tuna become common? Anyway, he wasn't going to bother thinking about that.

Hikigaya was surprised at how unique his friends were, a tsundere gal, a cool and beautiful girl with a communication disorder, and a deaf angel.

Truly unique, each one of them is considered a treasure of japanese culture society, because the 3 of them are considered heroine's in some LN or manga.

Despite their unique quirks, he thought of them as genuine kind of people, the kind of people that he wanted to be associated with, a friend, a real one not a fake.

For the short amount of time he was in this group, he never felt out of place, as he felt that he could truly fit in this unique circle of people.

Hikigaya didn't even realize that he was smiling a bit from time to time with their presence.

Hito didn't even realize what he did, he made Hikigaya a person that promised to be a loner, and socialize with them.

Actions speak louder than words, he acted on them and made a friend with Hikigaya.

While they were enjoying their lunch, all of a sudden someone who isn't from their class approached their direction.

Everyone from their class was looking at this girl, she was a pretty cute one too, however, it's not every day that a student from another class visits.

"Umm…" Her soft-spoken voice gathered their attention.

Making them look in her direction, Kawasaki, Nishimiya, Komi and Hikigaya didn't know who this cute girl was, however, Hito did. He looked at her in surprise not expecting her to visit him at all, although why was she wearing sunglasses though?

"Yotsuya-san?" 

His friends were surprised that he knew of her, that was to be expected after all they never saw them interact with each other.

"Tadano-sen-san, can I have a bit of your time..?" She almost called him 'sensei', however, it was nothing compared to how she acted bashfully when she asked for his time!

To everyone else, it's like she's going to confess her feelings to him privately, but they were very wrong because, after reading Miko's inner feelings, he realized the reason why she's acting 'bashfully' which is just her, being uncomfortable with his classmates' attention.

"Sure." He replied, if she personally came here to meet him, it probably means that it's an important matter. "Sorry guys, this is probably important, I'll be back later."

After closing his lunchbox and putting it in his backpack, he went after Miko outside the class, and then the class exploded.

"Woah! Do you think she's going to confess to him?!"

"Most likely, yes the way she acted means that she's going to confess her feelings to him!"

"How?! How could someone as plain as him get such a pretty girl to confess to him?!"

"That's right! We look slightly better than him so why?!"

Suddenly one of the females in the class said, "That's because he's nice, helpful and not to mention a gentleman! Unlike most of you, he doesn't stare at my breast like there's some sort of gravitational pull in the middle of it! He's actually looking at me in the eyes!"

That was a low blow to every boy in the class, with the exception of Hayato and Hikigaya.

Najimi was an alien, so it doesn't count at all.

However, Hito's female friends were having a different reaction to that incident.

Saki was pissed, although she didn't know why.

Komi was a bit depressed, and she couldn't stop the ache that was coming from her heart.

While Nishimiya was smiling cheerfully as usual, because she hadn't heard what Miko what she's saying so she remained a bit clueless.

At the school rooftop where the cliche confession happens in anime, if he didn't know her personally, he would have thought of her as going to confess her feelings to him.

However, he knew that it had something to do with awakening her magic circuits, the other day.

"Yes."

"Say, did you call me because of a magic situation-" Hito blinked as he realized that she answered before he could even ask the question.

"I can see the future for a few seconds."

"How did you-" He was speechless as he got his answer, if that was the case then it made sense that she could answer his question before he even asked.

"Okay."

"Can you talk normally-"  Hearing her answer before he could say anything made him groan for a bit.

"S-sorry, it's just hard for me not to answer." Miko smiled sheepishly 

 at him.

"I don't really blame you, however, it's just weird to answer before I could even ask the question itself." He replied with a weary smile.

"I know, I know…" Miko agreed with a sigh.

"So, why are you wearing sunglasses?" He asked, even though he already had a suspicion of what it was.

"I-it's better if you look at it yourself.." Miko suddenly took off her glasses and he saw her eyes glow beautifully, it was like a mini star burning brightly.

It was amazing, so beautiful he swore it was one of the most beautiful eyes that he saw in his life.

"Beautiful…" He couldn't stop himself from saying.

Hearing his unconcealed awe for her eyes, she couldn't help but be flustered, she couldn't help it, the way he said it was genuine.

Like he was saying that it's the most beautiful thing that he saw in his life, which isn't entirely incorrect.

"T-thank you…" 

"You're welcome, so this is the problem?" He asked.

"Yes, ever since I woke up from being unconscious after you awakened my magic circuits, my eyes were glowing, not to mention I couldn't control my ability to see the future, it's like it's in a passive state." She said,

Using his own mystic eyes, he saw that she was pumping prana into her eyes without her even realizing it, no wonder it's in a passive state.

"Yeah, I think I know where the problem lies." He replied, her problem is just so basic all he needs to do is teach her how to control her prana.

"Really?!" Miko said hopefully.

"Yes, now I'm going to teach you the basics, it's to control your prana." He didn't say that it could possibly blind her if she isn't careful.

But she didn't have to know that, it would only make her afraid of progressing, he'll only tell her after.

He was sure that this isn't the right decision, but screw it he didn't want to make her feel anxious while controlling her prana.

Haven't really mentioned how many magic circuits she has, so I'll let you guys decide.

Know that the average magic circuit for a magus is 20 and it's low-quality.

Know that a low-quality prana could only store 10 units of prana.

A/N: Sorry about not updating for quite some time, I have really had the time to write because I just got out of the hospital with my father.

It's quite a stressful day for me, so I'll start writing tomorrow.
