Cianne's words ricocheted in Tristan's head like a bolt of energized lightning. He made a dead run for the gunman. He was directly in front of the gun when it discharged. With unnatural speed, he turned from the path of the bullet and positioned himself to the side of the Leader. Tristan grabbed him by the arm. A loud roar escaped the delinquent's mouth as Tristan twisted the arm at an awkward angle. The gun dropped from Leader's hand and the man fell to his knees, cradling his broken arm.
Tristan kicked the gun away and placed his hand on Leader's shoulder, applying a crushing pressure that made it almost impossible for him to move. He quickly surveyed the area for the second masked man. What he saw was Zeta on the ground where he had been standing seconds before. Tristan pushed Leader to the ground then ran to Zeta.
