Chapter 91 Confession
Alex hesitated, yet he knew that he needed to pick up the call. “I need to pick up the call. Just a minute.”
Amira nodded. “Take your time.”
He released Amira and walked farther. “Hello?”
After a few seconds, Alex closed his eyes. “I’ll go now.” Then he raised his head to stare at Amira. “I need to go now.”
“Yes, I need time to think too.”
Alex let out a long sigh. “If it’s worth it, I have never thought to play your heart. Yes, at first, I wanted to protect you. But then, it changes. I truly care and like you.”
“Thank you, Alex.”
“We’ll talk later when you have been ready.”
Amira walked with Alex near his car. Then he waved and left without glancing back at Amira. She stepped inside her room, wondering who was calling Alex. After a while, Amira called Priscilla.
“Yellow?”
“Pris!”
“Hey, what happened? Your voice is like you are crying.”
“Alex, Pris.”
“My brother? What about him?”
“It’s a long story, but it involves Flavia.”
