Bianca giggled and patted Amira’s shoulder. “Don’t worry! I don’t want him anymore! He’s all yours.”
Amira immediately relaxed and grinned. “Thank you so much!”
“But then, are you sure with Alex?”
“Hey!”
Bianca laughed and shook her head. “Not that I want him. Just I saw how strong the attractions between you and Arya is. It startled me to hear that you’re Alex’s girl instead of Arya’s.”
Amira didn’t know what to say. She was upset with herself too to still feel something for Arya.
“Amira?”
“Sorry, what’s your question?”
“Why did you choose Alex instead of Arya?”
Amira let out a long sigh. “Well, with Arya, I see no future. I mean, he doesn’t seem to want to settle. While Alex, he’s the opposite.”
“But it’s not a good enough reason.”
“I need certainty, Bianca. Alex cares for me. He is a kind and protective person. I feel safe and comfortable with him.”
