Amira frowned for a few seconds, and then she forced a laugh. “What? Did you think that I wanted to break up with you?”
“Do you?”
“No!”
Alex laughed. He was relaxed now since he suspected Amira wanted to rethink their relationship. “I’m glad. So, what is this about?”
“Promise me you won’t be mad at me. Please?”
“I can’t do that if I don’t know the case.”
“Uh, I’ll tell you to know, but you should listen to me first. Please, trust me.”
Alex smiled. “Okay.” Knowing that Amira didn’t want to break up with him made it easier to handle.
“So, tonight, I’ll meet with you and the others at Club 20. It was because Robert asked me to be his date.” Amira said the following words in a hurry, “But it’s just because I was so thankful for his help, not because of liking him.”
“So, you will be Robert’s date tonight, but it’s not a string attached?”
“No, he didn’t force me. But he was so good to me before in work.”
