Arya exchanged looks with his mother, knowing too well of what her words implied. “Mommy.”
Annie only grinned and ignored her son’s unspoken warning. “Let’s greet our guests and begin our party, shall we?” She linked her arm with her husband and walked to the hall to meet their guests.
Arya shook his head and grinned to see his mother. Then he offered his hand to Amira. “Let’s follow my parents. Please don’t be upset with my mother. She only has me, and knowing that you’re my important woman, she wants to push you to accept me.”
“I understand. I’m not upset, only awkward.”
“Why?”
“Well, we are only friends, but then she treats me as if I were your girlfriend.”

Before Amira could answer, some older women approached them. “Wow, Arya! You are the talk of the town now.” They stared at Amira from head to toe. “Introduce her to us! She is the most sought woman since people said you would end your playboy life to marry her.”
