While attending a business conference with James in Las Vegas as part of a diplomatic mission, Edward took advantage of the chance to visit Laura Garcia.
Though their emotions had never been wholly expressed, they had felt a connection even though it had been months since their previous encounter in Stonasia.
Following the protocol of his meeting with James, Edward contacted Laura to extend an invitation to supper. He wanted to spend one final evening with her before returning to Stonasia to resume his royal duties.
