Chapter Seventy-Three

Talia's POV:

Louis smiled back at me, and I noticed that she was in a good mood. In general, she seemed happier when Nicholas was here, more lighthearted. I was sure it was not fun for her, to deal with my attitude all the time. I was pretty confident that no one else would want to deal with me and my shenanigans.

"Have you ever been to Asia?" I changed the subject, hoping it would be interesting.

"Yes, Hon Kong, precisely."

"I have never been anywhere, really," I told Nicholas. "Is Asia what they really show in movies?"

Nicholas grinned at me. "Pretty much. It's amazing. Probably one of my favorite cities. The architecture is fascinating, and the food. . ." He made a show of licking his lips. "The food is just to die for." He rubbed his belly, and I laughed, charmed despite my situation.

This was the first time I was seeing him in such a natural mood. So flexible and calming. His positive energy influenced the atmosphere and made it relaxing.
