There were around twenty to twenty-five people waiting for the estate broker to arrive. But just a few steps away from them, she stared at the familiar figure of the woman in a green dress.
"Who's that? Do you know her?" Ady asked.
She nodded. "Yeah. She's the professor from my uni."
Ady's eyebrow raised. "The one who helped your sister to expel you?"
"Yes. I didn't expect to see her here." She mumbled.
"Maybe she's like you." Skylar giggled, but stopped right away when she glared at him.
It didn't matter. She was there to get a house, and the Majesty opened five units so what would she expect? That she would be the only one interested? The place was popular, not just because of its price, but because of the wealthy people who lived there.
"Hello to our dear guests! This is an honor to be at your service. First, let's proceed to the lobby to get some refreshments." A woman in a formal dress greeted them
She looked around again, and noticed that the guests were wearing formal clothing. The men wore suit and time, while the women were dressed in long gowns.
"Sky! What the hell is this? You didn't tell me that this is a formal event!" She ranted.
"We had no time. The invitation was sent to my email just two hours ago. Come on, sis! You have the black card. If they reject you because of the way you dress then call Nicholas."
Ady crossed her arms as she glared at Skylar. She didn't say anything, but she was shaking her head in disappointment.
Inside the building, each guest was approached by an agent to show them the mansions for sale and discuss the prices. A petite young woman walked toward them and smiled.
"Hi, I'm Eloise and I'll be your agent for today."
Mia heard some laughter and when she glanced at the side, two agents were whispering to each other. They were looking at them, strolling their eyes as if examining them from head to toe.
"I apologize for their behavior, Miss. Don't mind them." Eloise bowed her head.
"Don't apologize on their behalf." She smiled. "Let's just focus on your presentation."
Eloise was detailed with everything, leaving no questions unanswered. Mia was very impressed with how it was presented to them, making her interest grow.
The five mansions were all extravagant and majestic. But the one property that caught her eyes was the mansion on the cliff, overlooking the vast ocean. It was a four-storey building including the basement with eight bedrooms all equipped with security alarm and CCTV cameras.
"I think I'll buy this one." She said, making Eloise surprised.
"Really, Miss? That's great! Will you pay cash or card?" Eloise asked.
"Here."
She casually handed the black card and smiled at her. Eloise was dumbfounded seeing it. Who wouldn't? The only person who had the privilege to have that card in the country was Nicholas Hudson.
Mia knew people would doubt her. She was already expecting it. As Skylar said, if she had to call Nicholas then she would.
"I'll process it right away, Miss." Eloise left, wondering about who she was.
"Do you think they won't question you about the card?" Ady asked.
She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. But maybe I have to call Nicholas."
Then she took her phone and called Nicholas.
"I told you to just text me the address." Nicholas' voice was a bit annoyed, making her pissed.
"You gave me a black card. What do you think people will think of me? You're the only one who owns a card like that in this country. I'm here at the Majesty to buy a house. Call whoever you need to call and just tell them that you sent me to buy a house for you."
On the other line, Nicholas couldn't believe that Mia just hung up the phone. Did she just tell him to call someone? She was clearly ordering him around.
"Mr. Hudson, is something bothering you?" One of the board of directors asked.
He was in a meeting when Mia called. He never answered any phone calls when he was in an important meeting with the board, but for some reason, when he saw that it was Mia, he immediately answered it. It was late when he realized what he had done so he had no choice but to sound annoyed.
"Nothing. But I think I'm done for today."
"But sir, we still have a few things to discuss with you regarding Sami Group." Another board member said.
"I already bought Sami Group so what's the problem?"
"You bought it, sir? When?"
"An hour ago. So starting today, Sami Group is now under Hudson Empire. It's an entertainment company, but they're quite popular."
He quickly stepped out of the meeting room, leaving the board shocked.
"If he bought Sami Group then he needs someone to take care of it. Do you think he bought it for his wife? I heard Mrs.Hudson had been eyeing that company for months now."
Nicholas chuckled. Why would he give Sabrina a company that he knew she wouldn't be able to handle?
"Sir, I called the Majesty as you ordered. They are requiring your presence to make sure that it was really you who wanted to buy the property." His secretary said.
His eyebrows shot up, turning his heavy gaze to his secretary.
"Really? Then fine. I'll go and see them."
His secretary frowned. "But sir, you have a meeting with your wife's father. It's about an investment that he offered last week."
Nicholas massaged his temple. "Cancel it. Cancel all my appointments today."
"Cancel, sir? And for what reason should I tell them?"
Nicholas looked at his secretary. She was the same age as Sabrina, but she looked older because of the way she presented herself.
"Alice, you've been my secretary for eight years now, so I think it's okay to tell you. I will be with my lover for two days. So it's up to you if you want to tell everyone the reason for my absence. I don't really care about it. So if you'll excuse me, I have to go."
