Unwelcome Wake-Up Call

Unwelcome Wake-Up Call

Richmond awoke abruptly to the insistent knocking on his bedroom door. Groggy and disoriented, he rose from the bed to find his father, Noah, stepping inside.

"You should have waited a bit longer; what if I was naked?" Richmond grumbled. He was slightly annoyed at his father from waking him from a wonderful sleep, this was the first time he was sleeping peacefully without Ecratas impending on his mind and his father had to ruin by barging into his room.

Noah scoffed, "I've seen you naked countless times. Besides, you hardly sleep in the buff; there's always at least a pair of pants involved."

With a sigh, Richmond asked, "What brings you to my bedroom at this unholy hour?"

Noah raised an eyebrow, "It's already ten past six."

Richmond glanced at the clock, "What is it, father?"

Noah replied, "I came to remind you of the meeting with the council this Thursday. I hope you haven't forgotten."
