THE BLOOD PROMISE
The matted hair on Richmond's skin disappeared, the horns on his head vanished and the claws on his hands retracted, leaving an uncladded man on the ground.
His breath was labored and was harsh to hear, sweats were dripping out of his body as one that had been running for days without breaks.
His father's heart went to him, Noah rushed to his son as Richmond lay on the ground, motionless. He shook Richmond but all he heard from Richmond was silence.
Richmond's body was so hot to touch, that Noah wondered if he was touching a person or a burning furnace.
Even with the vigorous beating he received from Richmond, Noah couldn't fault his son. He knew Richmond was not in his right senses.
Noah used his body to conceal his son's uncladded form from the peeping eyes of the injured maid. He didn't want anybody to look at his son's body without his consent.
