Before they knew it, cars, trucks even an armored tank with weapons surrounded them. Soldiers of the Wolf Federation trained the weapons on the truck containing Richmond and the bus.
"Surrender the beast or face immediate extinction," the voice echoed.
Noah felt a chill run down his spine. Surrender Richmond?
Anne's voice broke through his thoughts, a whisper of desperation. "What are we going to do?"
Noah clenched his jaw, his mind racing. "At this point, I don't know. If we continue, they will rain bullets on us, and right now, you are my concern. But if we give Richmond to them, it's game over."
Grace's voice, though tinged with uncertainty, held a glimmer of hope. "Maybe if you can go and explain to them, maybe they might let us leave with him."
Noah shook his head. "There's no reasoning with them. They've already pronounced an execution on Richmond. My hands are tied."
