The Bellrose Did Not Bloom Today, Maybe Tomorrow

Due to the misfortune of being born into the powerful family of Baskervilles, Lactiflora and Roosevelt are forced to participate in the most horrendous tradition their family have, fighting for the head position, pulling hairs, dooming your cousin’s fate, nothing special. The uninterested pair decided that the sick tradition has to end. Pulling the string in the Vitrum manor, the twins found out that their fate is inevitable, but as persistent and as stubborn as their father, Lactiflora and Roosevelt, along with their cousins, discovered the secret their ancestors hid below the manor. A journey into the entrance of the abyss, into their hearts and soul. Their past, present and future. Into the unknown... Their journey will bore holes into their hearts, break their spirits, and deform the way they see the world, no matter what they gain, what they lose, they have each other. Like how they entered the manor, Lactiflora and Roosevelt will always be together.

Life Beyond What We Know

For 8 years, they spent their lives inside the forest away from everyone, but that does not mean they know nothing of the world outside. They can only leave the manor secretly at night, where the darkness conceals their presence with the help of a cloak.

Lactiflora is quite knowledgeable when it comes to socializing, her words can easily sway a crowd to be on her side, with the help of her majestic and strong form, people can tell that she is a reliable person. Roosevelt on the other hand, thanks to his soft features, like his father's, no one doubts anything he says. Others even voluntarily come to his aid if he ever looks like he needs some assistance.

"Lacti… are you scared."The older twin turned to her brother who seemed to be fixated on looking up to admire the trees.

"Kinda, are you?" This time around Roosevelt looked at his sister, he cannot read his sister right now, not even himself. Everything felt so hazy, like there's something inside him boiling then cooling right away.

'Yes… I think it's the fear of not knowing what to expect. I'm also worried for our father." Lactiflora now gets where he's coming to. They lived in solitude for so long that life got so predictable. They were so content with what they had that they didn't dare to ask for more.

"Worry not brother, I'm sure father is safe with Aunt Veronica and Uncle Carlos. They will not let anything happen to him." She held out her right hand to her brother, who stared at it, still unsure what to feel. "And as for your fear of uncertainty, whatever comes in our way, we'll be together to face it."

Roosevelt has always admired his sister's wisdom and courage at times like this. Now at ease, he held his sister's hand, knowing that even if he loses everything, she'll be there for him.

They arrived at the Glass Manor by noon, both welcomed by the servants with elegance. Lactiflora can't help but to be pleased, after all she is a connoisseur of all things grand.

"A fine afternoon, my darling great grandchildren, how was your journey?" Roosevelt shivered at the tone of her voice, on the other Lactiflora remained unfazed, he's very proud of her.

"It was a fine journey, thank you for asking." Not even an hour yet, Lactiflora is now starting to analyze the woman, looking for a flaw in which she failed terribly.

"That's good to hear. Oh! Where's my manners, keeping my guest in the lobby. Come in, I had the head butler prepare rooms for you two, or would you prefer to share rooms?"

"Share rooms please…" Lactiflora said nothing at the decision of her brother and only held his hand.

"Rei, lead to their rooms, i would see you two later during the dinner." They both watched her walk away with a few servants in tow before following the butler.

Roosevelt didn't let go of Lactiflora's arm until they reached their designated room.

"Please ring the bell if you need anything, Young master, Young mistress, I will send a servant to assist your needs." With a bow the butler left.

"I still can't believe we left father without saying goodbye, I miss him already." The older of the two can not blame her brother after all it was her who insisted that they leave right away, she felt guilty she could have done something and taken a different route for her decision, they could have ran away.

She shook her head for thinking such a thing, she didn't believe that her father would agree to that, he had a duty to his people and his sense of responsibility would get in the way. Lactiflora sat next to her brother to comfort him with her presence by letting him know once again that he is not alone and that he had someone to make this through.

While her brother took a nap, Lactiflora took a liberty to explore their room, which is twice as big as their former room that is already big on its own. It is complete with a mini library and desks for the two of them, two king size beds, a balcony with a greenhouse connected to it and an upstairs area for their closet and a bathroom. The room is a definition of royal luxury in her opinion, if this is what her great grandchildren get it's easy to imagine how her Great grandmother's room looks like.

It's almost sunset when she realized she got so immersed in the book she was reading that she almost forgot about dinner. Thankfully the butler came once again to inform them that the dinner will start in an hour and thirty minutes.

Lactiflora shook her brother awake so they could prepare their attire for the dinner. Both are wearing matching suits and dress of black.

"Remember we will be meeting the rest of our cousins, do not do anything to antagonize them, be polite, but draw a line." she reminds him as she fixes the matching hair ornament that their father gave them.

"Of course, of course. And you, don't pick a fight right away or insult anyone even if it's off handed." Lactiflora rolled her eyes and let out a chuckle, he's just as worrywart as her.

"Alright then, our only objective is to not compete with everyone and go home in one piece, or two haha."

Once the butler is here they are ready, both brimming with class. One thing that they didn't realize is that no matter how smart Lactiflora is and how observant Roosevelt could ever be, there are things that will always go wrong.
