The Beginning After the End - God of the Mana

What would happen if a reader addicted to the novel and fan fic of The Beginning After the End woke up in the middle of the Elshire forest as a baby without knowing how he got there, being taken in by Rinia Darcassan? Will he try to change the fate of the characters he came to adore through the novel but could only see suffer or will he resign himself to the tyranny of fate and the ruling gods of that world? The original work The Beginning After the End is property of Turtleme, this is just a fan fic from my own perspective

Meeting the Leywin and Helstea Families

POV Julian Kingscrown

After a few more minutes with Arthur, we got off at a quiet place.

"I hope to see you soon and congratulations on meeting your family," I said to Arthur as I shook his hand and tried to say goodbye.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay with me for at least until you find a place to stay?" Arthur asked me in a worried tone.

"Don't worry, besides, I feel very uncomfortable, arriving uninvited and having no relation to the people who live where your parents are," I replied.

"You're a friend of mine, what more relation do you need?" Arthur said in an exasperated tone.

"You're right, but it's still something uncomfortable for me, besides, I didn't come without a plan, I want to settle in an inn and do some things today," I said to Arthur.

"Come on, just for a few days, besides, I don't think the money they gave you will last too long," Arthur retorted.

That's true, I already checked the amount of coins inside the ring, there's a bag with about ten gold coins, fifteen silver coins and a hundred copper coins.

I won't be able to support myself for long, but with the remaining cores inside the suitcase, I should be able to keep myself until I can become an adventurer in about six months.

The problem is how to sell AA or S class cores without anyone knowing my name, Vincent Helstea and Cynthia are my best options, but I don't know either of them yet.

"Fuuuh, okay, you win, but I don't plan to bother you too much," I said to Arthur.

"Don't worry about that, come on, I think it's this way," Arthur said happily and walked towards a specific direction.

After several minutes we arrived in front of a huge white mansion, finely decorated and with a balcony, giving a sense of wealth.

"You didn't say your parents were relatively poor," I said, giving him a mischievous smile.

"Don't ask me, I don't know much either, apart from the fact that they're here," he said as he walked towards the door, took a breath and started knocking.

You could see that he was very nervous, but they were just unnecessary thoughts in my opinion.

After that, a somewhat older maid appeared and said, "Can I help you young boys?"

"Excuse me, my name is Arthur Leywin, I have been informed that my family currently resides in this mansion and I wish to meet them," Arthur said.

Just at that moment, a little girl with small pigtails and some food on her face peeked out from behind the maid.

"Eleanor Leywin, you can't be greeting people who knock on the door all the time..." At that moment Arthur's mother noticed him.

"I'm back home, mom," Arthur said in tears as his mother ran out to him, wrapping him in a warm hug.

"I knew it was you when I heard that voice," Alice said as she cried hugging Arthur and Eleanor tried to stop her.

I moved with the beasts a little more to the right, since I knew that Arthur's father was going to arrive soon and I didn't want to interrupt their meeting.

And that's how their reunion was, although Arthur's dad noticed me, I gestured for him to continue with the family hug at the entrance of the mansion.

After that, everyone calmed down a bit and asked Arthur about me.

"He's a friend I met in Elenoir, we have a lot in common," Arthur told his family.

"Nice to meet you, my name is Julian Kingscrown and I became friends with Arthur during his stay in Elenoir, this is my Bond Silvie and some friends who follow me," I said, introducing myself and Silvie, along with the mana beasts I had brought with me.

"I didn't expect there to be another human of the same age as Arthur in Elenoir, does this have anything to do with your illness too?" Alice asked Arthur, worried.

"Dear, you're being rude to the boy, my name is Reynolds and she's my wife Alice and our little daughter Eleanor," Reynolds said as he introduced me to Arthur's family.

"Oh, my, I'm sorry, I'm still a bit distracted by Arthur's return," she said, apologizing.

"Don't worry, although it's true that I woke up early like Arthur, my reasons for being in Elenoir were particular, since I grew up there since I was a baby," I said, giving them a smile.

"Wow, I didn't know there were humans living in Elenoir," Reynolds said, surprised.

"Oh, no, it's a bit different, when I was a baby they found me in the middle of the forest, so I've lived my life surrounded by elves," I replied, shaking my hands in denial.

"Wow, let's go inside so we can talk a bit with both of you," Alice said this time.

So, when we were inside, we sat in the living room and talked about Arthur's stay in Elenoir and my peculiar origins.

"Your surname is not something I've heard before, but we could try to look for your family," Reynolds said.

"It's not necessary, I've been raised by my grandmother for a long time, she's more than enough with my family, besides some people in Elenoir are very close to me, that's why I don't see any merit in looking for my biological family," I replied.

Besides, I doubt very much that they can find anything after all, Virion spent a long time trying to do the same and got no results.

"Well, since I arrived in Xyrus I've been working hard as a guard at the Helstea auction house, knowing that Arthur and you woke up so young I'd like to compare your progress," Reynolds said proudly.

"Seeing you so desperate to show off, it seems that your facial hair was not the only thing that grew," Arthur said mockingly.

"Quick, what's the stage of your mana core, your old man has reached the dark orange stage," Reynolds said to Arthur proudly as he made poses that would make bodybuilders in my previous world.

"I'm sorry to tell you that I'm also in dark orange," Arthur said with a victorious smile as his father's facade of arrogance fell.

"Shit, how is that possible?" Reynolds said, surprised.

"Shit," Elli said after him.

For a brief moment I felt a sense of crisis, it was Arthur's mother as she approached Reynolds, "honey, I think I told you not to swear in front of Eleanor."

"I'm sorry, Elli, don't say that word," Reynolds approached Elli as he wiped the cold sweat that was dripping from his forehead.

Is this what they call female domination?

As I reflected on this, Reynolds looked at me, "don't tell me you too."

"That's right," I said, thinking of what words would hurt Reynolds less.

"He's solid orange," Arthur said, seeing his father's soul leave his body, but he recovered quickly.

"It doesn't matter, after all what matters is the experience, let's go to the backyard," Reynolds said as he approached Arthur and asked him for a fight.

POV Vincent Helstea

After returning quickly from the auction house, I ran into the mansion because I was informed that Reynolds and Alice's son had returned, but as far as I knew they had told me he was dead.

When I got to the living room I saw a redhead boy walking behind Reynolds, he was clearly the son of the Leywins.

Then directing my gaze to the people sitting, I saw another boy with white hair and red eyes, he gave me an impression of calmness, around him there were several mana creatures, but they seemed very obedient and above all they seemed unique, wouldn't he be willing to sell them? I thought to myself.

"Vincent, my son is back," Reynolds said, pointing to the redhead boy.

"My name is Arthur Leywin, I heard from my parents that they have been under your care, I thank you very much for being with them and receiving them here," Arthur said, introducing himself respectfully.

After that, I looked in the direction of the white-haired boy, he got up from his seat and gave a respectful bow as he introduced himself.

"My name is Julian Kingscrown, I'm a friend that Arthur made while he was separated from his parents, and the mana beasts that are with me are my friends," he said in a soft tone.

"Wow, they're quite respectful for their age, you taught Reynolds' son well," I said, looking at Arthur.

"Not at all, Mr. Vincent, probably Arthur taught me more manners than I did to him," he said, answering.

"I see, my name is Vincent Helstea, she's my wife Tabitha and next to her is my daughter Lilia."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Julian and Arthur said at the same time.

"Ha, ha, ha," everyone laughed at the moment of synchrony of the two.

"Well, Arthur, let's test your skills," Reynolds said as he walked to the backyard.

POV Julian Kingscrown

Lilia and Elli had the same reaction as Tessia when they saw Silvie, is it something unique to girls to be after cute things?

At that moment Vincent approached me and asked me, "is it true that you and Arthur are mages in orange stage?"

"Yes, I guess so," what would they think if they knew I was in yellow stage, I thought to myself as I answered.

Vincent made a face of not being able to believe it completely, "watch Arthur's fight, it might give you the confirmation you need," I said, turning my gaze to the center of the garden.

The fight happened as it was narrated in the novel, with Reynolds taking advantage of his physical edge and Arthur compensating with his skill and the lightning boost that had helped him improve, now he could hold it for half an hour if he didn't run out of mana.

Vincent had his jaw about to touch the ground and looked back at me, to which I could only give him a smile.

"Don't you want to try it?" Arthur shouted at me from the garden, sitting down.

"I'm not as presumptuous as you," I shouted back from where I was sitting.

I turned to see Silvie's state, I saw that she was having fun with Lilia and Ellie while they played accompanied by Rex, Galia and Vanangard.

On the other hand, Ingram was by my side cleaning his feathers, while giving a stoic impression, but with his current size he looked adorable.

"I need a drink," Vincent got up and entered the mansion again.

I followed him while telling my mana beasts to behave well and not cause any damage.

Silvie also ran out to my head (big brother are we staying here?) she said as I walked to the living room.

(Yes, but I don't think it will be for too long, after all tomorrow one of the people we came to look for in Xyrus should come) I replied through the mental bond we shared.

Tabitha approached me and touched my shoulder and asked me, "I heard from Alice that you are an orphan raised in Elenoir, is that true?" She said in a cautious tone.

"Yes, I was found in the middle of the forest when I was a baby and I grew up with them all my life," I said with a smile as I remembered all the people who became important to me in Elenoir.

"Wow, and how is the culture of the elves?" This time she spoke to me in a tone full of curiosity.

"I haven't been able to see too much of the human culture in Sapin, but something distinctive that I saw was the calmness, the city of Xyrus is much noisier than Zestier in Elenoir," I said, thinking about the differences I found.

"And how are the elves?" This time it was Vincent who seemed to have been listening from the beginning.

"They are a very united people and seem immaculate, but there is some resistance towards the human race, not everyone is like that, but there are some with deep emotional wounds from the war that once happened with Sapin."

"And where do you plan to stay?" Tabitha asked.

"I'm thinking of looking for an inn while I meet a person I came looking for in Xyrus."

"That's dangerous with your age," Tabitha said, worried.

"Well, I don't have many options," I said in a reassuring voice.

"Although I would like to ask you for today to be able to sleep here, while tomorrow I look for an inn, I can pay for all the inconveniences that I may cause you and also those of my mana beasts," I said, trying to appeal to their good side.

"Of course, you can stay as long as you think necessary, we are happy that Lilia can have friends of her age and you don't need to pay for anything, what kind of adults would we be if we took money from an orphaned child for staying with us," Tabitha replied with a smile.

"I thank you very much," I said, bowing.

"By the way, I've never seen mana beasts like yours, are those common beasts in Elenoir?" Vincent asked.

"Although they are native to Elenoir, their traits ended up being unique, I found them in the forest, fed them and since then they follow me, they are very obedient although they tend to try to steal my food," I said, remembering my constant fights with them when they served high quality meat in Elenoir.

"Who do you have in mind to meet in Xyrus?" Tabitha asked me.

"I have two goals for coming to Xyrus, one to meet Cynthia Goodsky and try to enter her academy in four years and two to become an adventurer to raise money and be able to pay the tuition," these are half truths, after all I need experience in combat with mana beasts, besides cleaning preventively the beasts mutated by Agrona and above all the money to start the projects of the defense system with some tools to be able to react to different situations.

"We would like to sponsor your stay at the academy if you have the necessary skills, besides, isn't it dangerous to be an adventurer being so young?" Tabitha asked me.

"I couldn't ask that of you and also the experience as an adventurer is something I want to acquire before going to the Academy," I said, giving them a complicated look, since although I valued their kindness at this moment it was difficult to take it.
