War Under the Moonlight

Under the light of a full moon, a city situated in the middle of a serene lake is adorned with embers if seen from afar. But if one takes a closer look, one cannot imagine the chaos that is currently happening within. Houses have been razed with fire, and its citizens are forced to run for their lives and seek shelter in places of security. This is what's happening in the Moonlake, or also known as the Lake of the Moon God, the kingdom of the Moon Elves.

Arrows raining from the sky, screams of innocent lives getting slaughtered, and the grunting of demon warriors echoed throughout the city. Estes, the king and protector of the Moon Elves, led his men into battle in order to drive away the forces of darkness which Alice had sent upon the Moon Elf capital.

"Archers!" Estes cried out, causing the Moon Elf archers to send arrows raining upon the hordes of demons. Some were lucky hits, while others missed. However, this attack didn't cause the demons to flinch or back out. Instead, they followed suit, as arrows with flaming tips fell upon the archers who fought under Estes' banner. The Moon Elf king can't help but look in horror as he watched his men burn upon being struck with the flaming arrows.

"I will defend the Moon Elves!" said Tigreal, as he orders his own battalion of knights to prepare their arms and charge into battle. Alucard, whose blood begins to boil upon seeing the hordes of demons and undead archers, can't help but draw his sword and began to hack and slash until he had decimated an entire legion.

"Killing is always better than giving mercy." A mantra Alucard keeps on saying when it comes to slaying demons. Keeping that in mind, he continued to slay the demons, causing some to fear him and retreat. Tigreal decided to take this as an opportunity to strike as he and his men charged towards the demons who chose to remain in battle in order to hem them in and completely eliminate them from the battlefield.

"Take care of the demons while I'll lead the civilians to safety." said Alucard, desiring for the Moon Elves safety lest they shall receive the same fate he and his parents had when they were attacked by the very demons that are currently ravaging the Moonlake. He told every Moon Elf that wielded not even a single weapon to retreat to their homes.

Most of them heeded Alucard's orders while others who were armed with faith, ran towards the Temple of the Moon God and prayed. Knowing that a full moon meant the Moon God is listening, they fervently knelt before the shrine of their protector deity which appeared as a stone humanoid statue cradling a crescent moon in his arms.

As the temple was filled with unarmed civilians, the war continues to rage on as more demons storm the city. Estes proceeded to heal some of his men by using the Code of the Moonlight, which imparted the healing and merciful touch of the Moon God upon those who are afflicted with pain. He did this until most of his men took up arms and continued to defend their kingdom and king.

Alucard proceeded towards another demonic legion which Tigreal and his men are currently fighting, only to catch the sight of a spear, made of pure darkness, flying across the battlefield, skewering a lot of Tigreal's knights and Moon Elf warriors, knocking them back and killing them instantly.

"Tigreal! Watch out!" Alucard cried out as he sees another spear of the same kind fly towards Tigreal, causing the latter to immediately dodge.

"Retreat!" Tigreal orders his knights to retreat in order to get a good look where the spears are coming from. It turns out that it's coming from none other than Moskov, the leader of the demons who initiated the siege at Alice's behest.

"Well well, if it isn't Tigreal, the Captain of the Imperial Knights... Glad to see you here in the Moon Elf capital. So how do you like the sight of these helpless creatures pleading to the moon above for their safety, while knowing that doom is upon their lands?" said Moskov as he slowly approached Tigreal.

"How do you know my name? Let me guess, Alice had sent you?" Tigreal raised an eyebrow as he prepares to engage Moskov in a duel by brandishing his sword in front of the Spear of Quiescence.

"Well, I was with you since the vigil. I know all your plans against Alice! And yes, the Moonlake will be under her domain and she can have as many moon elves as she wants!" Without further ado, Moskov readied another spear of darkness and engaged Tigreal in a duel.

As Tigreal and Moskov exchanged blows and clashes using their respective weapons, Alucard continued to help the Moon Elves and the knights loyal to Tigreal charge against the demons in order to drive them out of the Moonlake.

The Moon Elves at the temple desperately prayed for their Moon God's aid and it seems their prayers have been heard as a barrage of arrows made of pure moonlight rained upon the demons. A young Moon Elf woman with long, flowing silver hair tied in a ponytail and donning a set of Moon Elf archer armor that came in hues of blue and silver seems to have fired those arrows. She continued to fire more arrows imbued with moonlight energy, each striking true as more demons fell dead.

"Wow, that girl's a beauty..." said Alucard to himself as he gazed at the beautiful and youthful face of the Moon Elf archer, only to find a demon about to strike him from behind. Luckily, an arrow had hit the demon, causing it to die immediately before Alucard could even land a blow.

"I've got your back!" said the mysterious Moon Elf archer as she joined Alucard and her fellow Moon Elves in the fray. Knowing that help has finally came in the form of a beautiful Moon Elf woman, Alucard felt more determined to fight as he charges along the hordes of demons that are currently assaulting the city square, smiting them to their deaths while the Moon elf archer assisted him in clearing the demons from the said area.

"Say, what's your name?" said Alucard, questioning the mysterious elf's identity.

"There's no time for talk, we've got some abyssal demons to slay!" The Moon Elf archer replied, only to suddenly disappear and reappear in a distance away from the demons before firing another rain of moonlit arrows upon them. Alucard's jaws immediately dropped after witnessing such feat in battle. Being amazed with her abilities, Alucard wished to know more about her but the safety of the Moon Elves was his priority. A long battle ensued until the square was free from demons.

Meanwhile, the duel with Tigreal and Moskov is still ongoing as the former found the latter to be a quite remarkable opponent. Being a skilled warrior, Tigreal knew how to look for his enemies' weaknesses. And in Moskov's case, it must be the huge gaping scar that ran across his torso which glowed an eerie purple.

As Moskov was about to hurl a spear at Tigreal, the latter disarmed him and drove his sword on the said area, causing Moskov to emit a terrible scream of pain the moment the sword had cut open his scar.

"N-No...!! Not like this...!" The dying demonic marksman cried out as his vision started to blur. He was already in his knees as he looked up at Tigreal, pleading for mercy. However, his pleas fell on Tigreal's deaf ears as the latter, who is a devout follower of the Lord of Light, will never show mercy on the forces of darkness. Withdrawing his sword from Moskov's torso, the latter fell and breathed his last.

The demons who were engaging the Imperial knights and the Moon Elf royal guards nearby saw their general lay dead before their eyes, thus causing their morale to take a nosedive. A horn was sounded, signalling the demons and undead warriors to retreat and run away from the Moonlake. Alucard chuckles as he watched them retreat since he had earned the realization that even demons can be cowards.

"Hehey, not bad." said Alucard, commending the fleeing legions of darkness in an insulting and sarcastic manner before reuniting with Tigreal and Estes at the courtyard of the royal palace. The battle has ended, and it's a victory for the Moon Elves and their city.
