The Kiss: Part 1

" Is Myla your girlfriend?" I asked Tony

He ignored my question, stood up, and rushed out of the cafeteria.

" dumb ass " I muttered under my breath

I left the cafeteria after eating and went to my locker. I opened it and saw a red note on my textbook, I took it and read

" I know Your Secret "

I widened my eyes, as I thought of how the person knew my locker code.

I tore the note and threw it away.

The last person to arrive for practice was me, which made Coach furious

" Why were you late, Richard? " Coach yelled making the other players and cheer leaders set their eyes on me

" I slept off " I mumbled gloomily

" let this be the last time! " Coach warned

He blew the whistle, making everyone get back to practicing.

I grabbed a ball nearby and started dribbling with both hands.

" Dalton! " James called, stepping beside me

" Hi " I glanced at him

" What's up, you look dull "

" I'm good " I gave him a fake smile

We made bounce passes and also practiced lay-ups from both sides.

" Hey " Tony came to my side

I ignored him and dribbled the ball towards the direction of the hoop.

After hours of practicing, Coach blew the whistle to end the practice.

" Seniors, gather together " Coach ordered

We gathered around Coach and listened to what he wants to say

" Two more weeks for our next game, I want us to come here on Sunday for practice. Be here by 12:00. Tony, make sure you are here "

" Yes, sir " Tony answered

" Good night guys " Coach dismissed us

I stayed behind while everyone went to the locker room. I practiced, making 20 free throws in a row.

I sat on the court seat, resting my head on my knees, sweat dripping down my forehead.

I was exhausted. I was scared of the person that knows my secret. I hope I am safe.

" Are you okay " Tony's voice broke me out of my thoughts

I wanted to avoid him, I don't want him to see through my facade

" I'm good " I stood up and left the court room. What was he doing there

The locker room was dark and silent when I entered. That was unusual

I switched on the light and noticed a movement. I wanted to scream but I couldn't find my voice, so I pushed my legs forward to the area my locker was.

I jumped when I heard a loud bang behind me. I was terrified to look, so I did the first thing that came to my mind.

I grabbed my t-shirt and jeans, and made my way to the door, running as fast as my legs could take me.

I opened the door and bumped into Tony that was coming inside. He fell on top of me, breathing heavily.

" What's the matter with you, why were you running? " Tony asked frantically

" Someone is inside " I pointed at the door

" Who? "

" I don't know, get off me " I grumbled

" I'm sorry " he stood up and offered me his hand

I grabbed it and stood up, I took my clothes that were on the floor.

He went inside the locker room and I followed, checking every corner.

" I'm here now, no one will harm you" he said

" Thanks "

I looked away when he started stripping off his clothes. He entered the shower room and I quickly changed into my t-shirt and jeans.

I left the locker room, giving him some privacy. I grabbed my backpack and left the school premises.

I walked to the bus station, while thinking of the position Tony and I were minutes ago.

The bus came shortly and I entered with the few people waiting for the bus arrival.
