A Wedding Dress

While they were still on break from Hogwarts, Hermione thought it would be a good opportunity to find her daughter a wedding dress. She had found out shortly after they had been engaged that they wanted to get married the summer coming up. That was a really short amount of time, and I figured that if that is what they wanted, they needed to find everything they wanted.

Mary had been ecstatic when Ara owled her and told her that she had said yes. Mary was glad that everyone had been so supportive as well. She just wished she could have been there to see it all happen. She was even more excited when Ara asked her to be her maid of honor.

"Are you so excited?" Mary had stayed over last night with Ara so they could find a dress today.

"Yes, it is like all my dreams are coming true."

"I am going to be the best maid of honor there has ever been," Mary stood up proudly, and the girls both giggled.

"Girls! Everyone is here," Hermione yelled up to them, and they quickly made their way downstairs.

Ginny, Mrs. Wealsey, Lily, Margret, and Milly were also going to be going with Hermione, Mary, and Ara.

Margret, Milly, and Lily had been so excited when Ara asked them to be bridesmaids.

"Mother, I know you said they are young, but I really want Carina and Nova to come along. They are going to be at the wedding, after all.

"Whatever you want, darling," Hermione wandered off to another part of the house to find her youngest two girls. They were going to be so happy that they were going to go.

"Thank you, sissy!" Nova hugged Ara's one leg while Carina attached herself to the other one.

"I love you guys," Ara hugged her sisters, and she held back her tears. There was just one person missing, and she couldn't come. She would never get to see her in a wedding dress or her walk down the aisle. Her great-grandchildren. She felt a lump grow in her throat.

"She is still with you in your heart Ara," Mrs. Weasley pulled her into a hug. Ara felt so grateful that Molly had wanted to come.

"We should head out," Hermione stepped into the fireplace with Nova and Carina by her side and dropped the powder. One by one, the girls left and arrived in Diagon Alley. They made their way to the dress shop. Ara smiled when she entered. Everything was so pretty.

"Welcome," A younger lady greeted them at the door and then froze in her tracks when she realized that it was the Minister of Magic.

"Hello, I'm Mrs. Malfoy; I was hoping we could keep this visit a secret." Hermione smiled warmly at the girl. The last thing she and Draco wanted was the fact their oldest daughter was getting married all over the newspaper's front page.

"Of course, Ma'am" The woman nodded and then looked around, trying to figure out who was the bride.

"My daughter, Ara, is the one getting married," Hermione pointed at her daughter, and Ara smiled brightly.

"She is going to make a beautiful bride," The lady led the group back to somewhere they could sit and then took Ara back into a fitting room.

"Do you know what you are looking for, dear?"

"Well, I have always loved mermaid styled dresses. And I know I want something with either lace or beading." Ara explained what she liked and disliked before the lady went back to the dresses and picked a few out.

"These are some things to start us off. If you don't like it, we don't have to show them. Plus I am sure that you are going to know it when you put it on. You'll be able to wear anything,"

The first dress that Ara tried on was a mermaid style dress that had lace all over it. She liked the detailing but absolutely hated how deep the neckline was and was sure that it wasn't.

"I really like the detailing, but that is it," Ara smiled as the woman nodded and helped her out of the dress.

"No need to show them then," She smiled back at the younger girl and helped her into the second dress.

The second dress was strapless and had even more detailing. The skirt was pretty, and Ara loved this one.

"I think I want to show them this one," She smiled, and the attendant helped her out to where her family was sitting.

"Wow," Mary was the first to speak. Ara looked great in it, but she knew that no one else was going to like it.

"That is pretty," Hermione offered. That was true, but that wasn't it.

"You guys don't like it?" Ara sensed the hesitation of everyone.

"I think you will find something better," Lily offered with a smile, and the other girls agreed.

They went back into the fitting room and tried on the next dress. Ara didn't like that one either and sighed.

"I thought I was going to like the mermaid style, but I think we should try something else,"

"Don't worry, darling; we will find something."

She came back with ball gowns this time, and Ara looked through them. They were really pretty, and with the way the other dresses had gone over, she was willing to give it a try.

It had lace all over the top with beading as well. The skirt had lace as well, and Ara liked the off the sleeve look. There was just something that she wasn't sure about. She went out to show her friends and family anyway, though.

"Beautiful," Nova sighed when her sister came out.

"This is my favorite one so far," Ginny smiled at her future daughter in law.

"I like it; there is just something I dislike about it."

"Well, we have all day sweetheart, go try something else on,"

"Don't worry, Ara,"

She slipped into the next dress and sighed. It was perfect, she thought. The beading and lace were perfect, and it had the off the shoulder sleeves that she liked so much from the last one. The train was her favorite part.

"Wow," Mary felt the tears come into her eyes. It was perfect.

"Sissy," Nova started.

"You look beautiful," Carina finished her sister's thought.

"The girls are right, Ara. You look so amazing." Ginny didn't know what she was going to do when that was Lily standing up there in a wedding dress. Hermione couldn't say anything because the tears were falling out of her eyes so heavily.

All she could do was stand up and hug her daughter. "I love you,"

"It's perfect," Ara smiled at her mother.

"It is," Molly stood up as well and spun the young witch around, "Does it feel real now?"

"Yes, and I am even more excited than before." Ara grinned from ear to ear. She was going to marry James Potter. The thought made her heart skip a beat, and she felt the tears come to her eyes. The women hugged one another.

Ara came back into the Manor with a smile plastered across her face. Her father sighed and pulled her into a hug.

"You found something then?" Scorpius was sitting on the couch reading.

"Yes, and it is perfect,"

"Is it everything you always wanted?" Draco smiled at her.

"No. It is something I would have never picked out for myself, but it is perfect."

"I am glad you love it so much,"

"Wait until you see her Draco, she's shines so brightly in it," Hermione stepped through the fireplace with Nova and Carina. They were worn out from all the excitement of the day, and she laid them on the couch by their brother, who was already fast asleep.

"We had an eventful day as well." Draco pulled his wife in and kissed her.

"What did you 4 do?"

"Well," Scorpius put his book down and smirked at his sister, "James, Albus, and Teddy came over. James asked Hyperion both to be his best man. Teddy and Albus are the other two groomsmen. Plus, he said that you both talked about Leo being the ring bearer."

"Are you ready to wear green Hyperion?" Ara turned and smiled at her other brother.

"Whatever you give me, I will wear with a smile, sister,"

Draco laughed and pulled his daughter back into a hug. "I love you," He said into her hair before kissing it.

"I love you too, Daddy; thank you for making all of this possible."

"Only the best for you, sweetheart."
