(For those who read my main work novel, Apocalypse Cheater, this new novel that I'm posting is an early work of mine and I'm just posting to see some of your opinions on whether should I continue. The novel might have a slow start, and it's a bit haywire which is why I'll be doing some editing on it)

Inside a dungeon where a couple of people known as hunters were walking on a path where there's nothing but fields of broken bones, there is a boy named Daniel, 15 years old, who is all the way behind in the back led by 7 humans in front of him.

"Can't you move any faster!!" The captain of the team yelled. He has a scar from his left eyebrow down to his eye and cheek which made him look more domineering and fierce.

With the sword that's hanging on his black belt, some may feel threatened by his appearance.

From his words earlier on, he appears not to be a good person. Moreover, with his long brown beard with yellow crooked teeth only, people would be disgusted, but in this case, no one minded about it.

"You're just slowing us down!" The second person said which is just right beside the captain since he's the useless sidekick where the only thing good about him is his laser mouth.

The rest wasn't bothered by this nor do they even care what was going to happen to Daniel since all they care about is their life.

To add on, their goal is to complete the dungeon without any casualties.

The Dungeon that all of them have dived right into is an E-Rank Dungeon which is the lowest rank, and though it may sound easy, it is not.

It requires thousands of humans without abilities to complete, so it's commendable and an accomplishment of having just 7 men excluding Daniel complete it.

"I-I'm sorry, I'll do m-my best," Daniel said timidly. Out of all 7 seven of them, Daniel is the only decently looking person with a frail body.

He's the youngest and shortest amongst them all, and people would be surprised to see such a young boy taking part in a dungeon.

He has messy silver hair with blue eyes that takes someone to a whole new level wave of deepness.

Daniel couldn't retaliate against these people for he is a powerless guy that did not manage to get his awoken powers. With no powers, strength, skills or abilities, he doesn't have the right to retaliate.

Those with such things are the only ones that have the right to do anything whereas people like Daniel can only cower in fear and swallow their words.

Normally a person would be able to unlock their awoken abilities through the age of awakening which means by 10 years old, he or she would have already unlocked, however, in Daniel's case, his age is beyond the requirement yet he still has not managed to awaken.

There are many cases where people have awoke their abilities a little late or through experiencing a state of emotion, however, for Daniel, nothing has yet to happen to him.

There are other ways to forcefully be awoken, but the cost is not what Daniel could afford.

Also, the risk of going through that process is undoubtedly high that 70% of the people who have gone through have either suffered a permanent mental disorder or simply died.

Hence, this choice of awakening is not what Daniel will consider, he has to live after all, not for his sake, but for his sister.

"Fuckin useless, why did the Captain even put this guy on our team, he's just wasting our time and pulling us down," One of the team mocked purposely.

"Well, at least he can be our backpack guy" Another guy joked and immediately all of the people in the team started to laugh except for Daniel.

He could only grip his fist and bite his lips in frustration, and if one focuses his eyes carefully, there were droplets of tears that he quickly wipe with his sleeves.

Daniel has a fragile heart with not a strong mind, thus, no one couldn't imagine how was he able to survive despite being treated like this for years.

For years, he has been experiencing the same cruel kind of treatment many times and it's all because he's a human without any ability.

He could only hold his rage inside his heart, he's not a brave person nor is he a courageous guy but even so, he has his good points.

His good points can be deemed to be rare for this ruthless changed world that's only filled with the lack of trust, loyalty and kindness but even so, all of these traits and values are useless in front of true strength.

For how many years was he bullied by those people with ability, for how many years was he always be left alone with no friends wanting to befriend him and for how many years did he return to his home with no one waiting for him?

He kept working hard to participate in dungeon missions just for the money so that he could pay for his sister's hospital fees.

It's the only job he could do with at least a decent sum of money, yet, it was and it is a hard, stressful, depressing job to be done.

He had thoughts about ending his own life countless times, but every time he was closed to the edge, a flash of an image appeared in his mind, and it was both his sister and childhood friend.

Because of those precious memories, he didn't dare to do it.

He didn't have the heart to leave this world while his older sister suffered who was suffering from a coma in the hospital.

And he questioned himself 'If I left, who would take care of her?'' With all of this thought, he couldn't leave his sister.

Supposedly, his childhood friend should have been his pillar of support, but his so-called childhood friend used to be together with him, however now she's gone to her world, leaving him behind.

To this day Daniel would always remain loyal and patiently wait for her to return to him as her last words after leaving him were "Wait for me, I'll be back and when I return we'll finally be together" She said with a sad face and smile that contained hope of she and him blissfully living together.

Of course, no one knows whether she has truly left him or not but he's still too naive to that day, Daniel has a dedicated heart to wait for her.
