She Would Pray for Their Happiness

Ye Sen had a satisfied look on his face when he saw the obedient look on his daughter's face. He spoke a few words to his daughter before he finally left the office with his secretary.

Before the door was closed, Ye Qing Xin could see the secretary turning to look at her with a mocking smile at her. That person seemed very happy that she had turned into a miserable person.

Ye Qing Xin was aware of her father's affair with that secretary. She was the same woman that had destroyed her parent's marriage.

She knew well that once the company was in her father's hands, the secretary would be able to reap some benefits.

Perhaps, after everything was done, Ye Qing Xin was going to find that the secretary had turned into her stepmother.

Ye Qing Xin thought that she should hate her father and this secretary. However, she realized that she had no feelings towards them. Seeing them together made her heart turn dull.

The room turned quiet again.

Ye Qing Xin stared at the pen that she had thrown on the ground earlier after she was made to sign the agreement. Guilt surrounded her as she thought of what was going to happen to her uncle and his family again. She could already imagine now her Uncle Song would be so disappointed in her.

That man had treated her well, but she was betraying him this way.

This was not something that she wished to happen.

And this was not the first time that it happened.

Her legs turned weak. Ye Qing Xin staggered backward until her back hit the table behind her. She touched the table behind her, to use it as her support.

She did not want to sign the agreement. But there was something forcing her to do things she did not want to do.

Ye Qing Xin tried to fight that force as hard as she could, but there was nothing she could do to prevent it.

It was just like the last time when she saw her cousin, Song Nan Qiao, and her fiance, Yang Yi together.

Ye Qing Xin liked Yang Yi for a long time. He was that elder brother who often protect her when she was a little girl. She had always thought that after she had completed her study, Ye Qing Xin was going to confess her feelings to Yang Yi.

She returned to the city only to find out that Yang Yi was engaged to her cousin, Song Nan Qiao, and that the two of them has been together for years.

During that time she was hiding her feelings for Yang Yi, Song Nan Qiao was already his girlfriend.

Ye Qing Xin knew that she should let Yang Yi go. Since he had found the person who made him happy, then, she would pray for their happiness.

However, that force made her do something that she did not want to do.

On that day, Ye Qing Xin obtained a drug and slipped them into Song Nan Qiao's drinks.

Ye Qing Xin could still remember that feeling as she slipped the drug into Song Nan Qiao's drink. She had wanted to throw that drug away, but the force was making her do this sin.

She had tried to warn Song Nan Qian about the drugs, but each time she tried to open her mouth, a smile would appear on her face instead.

And that innocent cousin of hers...had never suspected anything.

If it was not for Yang Yi's quick move, Song Nan Qiao might already sleep with a few men.

Ye Qing Xin had never wanted to do something as cruel as this.

She was also a woman. No matter how heartbroken she was, she would never want to harm another woman this way.

She had already wished for Yang Yi and Song Nan Qiao's happiness. Why would she want to hurt her cousin?

Later, Yang Yi investigated this matter and found out that she was the one who tried to hurt Song Nan Qiao.

Yang Yi confronted her and she almost got herself into jail. But, it was Song Nan Qiao who had pleaded for her freedom. Seeing the tears on the beauty's face, Yang Yi decided to let Ye Qing Xin go.

A lot of words were said, but Ye Qing Xin did not mean any words she said. Those words were something that she was forced to say.

But, Ye Qing Xin could still remember the murderous gaze that Yang Yi had given her.

To be stared at with so much hatred by the person that she loved... It hurt her so much.

Ye Qing Xin inhaled a few deep breaths to calm down.

She decided that she could not let this thing happen.

Her father might have the documents in his hand. But she could still find a way to stop her father from taking that company away.

Ye Qing Xin gritted her teeth. She reached for her phone and dialed a number.

Fortunately, it did not take too long for the phone call to be connected.

A male's voice was heard on the other line.

Then, there was a long silence between them after Ye Qing Xin had told him of her request.

Ye Qing Xin did not urge the man to hurry and instead, waited for him to process her words.

"Miss Ye, are you sure that this is what you wanted to do?" The man's deep voice reverberated on the other line. "Your father... he would not be happy about this. Moreover, you would lose everything in the company."

"I know. Lawyer An, you can do it as I have instructed."

Lawyer An heaved a long, heavy sigh. "Very well. Miss Ye, I understand."

"Lawyer An," Ye Qing Xin called the man's name again before he was going to hang up. "I hope that you can keep this matter a secret from my father."

"Miss Ye, don't worry. I will never reveal any confidential information unless it was with your consent."

Hearing his words gave her a sense of relief.

The two of them exchanged a few more words before they finally hang up.

Ye Qing Xin tightened her hand into a fist. She had already made up her mind.

No matter what her father was going to do next, she will fight him. As his daughter, she could not let her father to continue made a mistake.
