Recruiting Kael

Aiden smirked, his eyes narrowing. "You'll find out soon enough. Now, are you coming, or do you want us to be exposed?"

Kael nodded, still processing what had just happened. Without another word, he followed Aiden at a distance, careful not to draw attention.

Aiden glanced back, just enough to signal him to stay behind, and said, "I'm going to collect my reward. Meet me at the secluded area near the Colosseum. Leave a few minutes between us, no suspicion." Kael nodded again, his curiosity clearly piqued.

Aiden proceeded to the main entrance, where the same attendant greeted him with a half-sneer, handing over his reward: 25 Low-mana crystals this time, an increase from the 15 crystals he'd earned before.

As he collected them, Aiden thought, "Seems like the rewards increase after every fight."

The guard nearby sneered, muttering, "What a cockroach. I wonder how he's surviving."
