Living in the House

I went to the private locker rooms where you abandon your secret identity to change back into your public one. I hide my face behind a black cloth wrap that I wrap around my face that only reveals my eyes. I wear all black tight clothes since my job requires stealth and precision. It's some advanced leather that's more durable than it looks. Once it's off I get dressed in my civilian clothes and put away my gear on the mannequin. I just came here with a white tank top and black cargo shorts with some black boots. I put that on and leave. The only people who knows my identity are the Detectives in the SSS. They don't share it with anyone, no even the CEO and they are considered their own separate entity most of the time rather than being part of the SSS. I don't live far from HQ so I leave with my bicycle and head home in the night. Once I get to my house, I sneak in quietly. My roommate is probably home sleep so I don't want to wake her. I get to my room and lay on my bed to think about the day. At least I was going to until I heard a knock at my door. "Come in!" My blonde perfect everything roommate came in wearing her Bear pajamas. She says. "Welcome back. You had another late shift?" I turn my head to her but even at midnight her personality is too bright. I turn away. "Yeah, we didn't have a lot of work so I was allowed to leave early." I told her. I convinced her that I work at the bar at the SSS...which is not a false statement. Me, Naomi McKnight, works at the bar when I'm not my secret identity. My roommate Sunny starts making her way to me. I get on guard a bit because this girl can be weird sometimes. Instead of laying back I sit up and look at her. She's just smiling at me as she sits right next to me leaving no room between us and putting her unnaturally beautiful face a little too close to mine. I turn away in protest. So she decided to whisper in my ear. "How dare he." I move over a little but she decided tonight that I didn't need any room and moved over close to me again. I clear my throat and say. "Didn't we talk about this personal space thing, and I can't return your feelings thing. So what are ye doing now?" She giggled at me and said. "Mmm I love it when you get all Scottish on me. But what I'm really doing is looking at your hair. Got some glass in it." She went through my hair with her fingers a little then moved her hand in front of my face and showed the tiniest piece of glass in it. It probably stuck to my hair when I took off the wrap. I take it from her. "Thank you. I need rest." She stayed there for a couple kore seconds then got up. "Fine, I'll leave you alone tonight." She waved at me and I gave her a little salute. With her now gone...ehh I don't feel like thinking about work anymore. My ear feels hot for some reason.
