Isadora was resting in her room when a knock sounded on the door. The two Crescian knights on guard announced it was Alexander. She was a bit reluctant to give the order but let him anyway.
"What was that?" Alexander asked after walking in the room. Isadora sat on the edge of her bed and poured herself a cup of wine.
"It's wise to be cautious in an enemy's territory," she said and took a sip. Alexander could only sigh. He knew the Arcadians and Crescians had never been friends, at least not until Roselyn sat on the throne.
He walked towards the table and poured himself some wine as well. He took a sip, his mouth savoring the taste. "They could have poisoned you if they wanted you dead," he said. "But worry not. I've taken care of the untrustworthy council members who made the order."
"How did you do it?" She asked, delighted by the news.
