The Ark Of Raiyen's Destruction

"Oi, if you have some explosive attack to clear out this area... Now's a good time to do it!" hollered the Kitsune as his shield began to falter.

"Fine! Eternal Unity Spark; Infinite Jolts!" yelled Raiyen, as he used all his might to swing his newfound weapon, delivering a wave of lightning bolts to silence the enemies around him.

The massive area of effect spell caused the neighboring civilians to look in awe while officials scrambled to get them out of the vicinity. Upon the release of Eternity Unity Spark, Gillian looked up from his notes and sent out a Familiar.

"He should have never gained access to the weapon... Was it because of his feat with the Orphanage? Or was it because of something else..." murmured Gillian as he worried for his little son out on the battlefield.

"Maybe the kid has finally grown up? Like how our little Valkyrie has?" suggested Ysabeau, coming into Gillian's study with a cup of tea.

"Or the kid stole from you, and you didn't realize it," said the Angry Man, appearing in a dark smoke before the Headmaster's bookshelf.

"Like how he has learned from the master of never knocking..." complained Gillian.

Mavislin felt the shaking from her lover's battlefield and laughed.

"I thought Gillian promised to release the limit on Raiyen and gift him that weapon after the Games... I guess this is an emergency with the Husks and all... But still..."

"That's a bit unfair, don't you think? A young Mage gets a shiny new weapon, but I have a broken Ancient Relic... Enough to make my blood boil!" shouted Mavislin as she set fire to everyone before her.

Back with the Time Mage and Tomoe, the poor Kitsune was shocked beyond relief as he witnessed the carnage that his Master had produced.

"You seemed surprised that I could pull that off," noted Raiyen as he twirled his weapon to feel its proper weight.

"I'm surprised that you can even use that weapon... The Headmaster placed a binding spell on it, so you won't use it until you are ready. Perhaps this was an exceptional situation, so he allowed you access to-"

"He didn't. I got it out because I read how to in his library long ago. The only problem is that I'm usually alone, so I can't do the spell without getting swarmed by attacks. And if you've been with me long enough or had gone to help me on my missions..."

"You would know that I was the one who took out the lands Vortia and expanded Teuton a few months ago with nothing but myself and my powers," answered Raiyen as his eyes darkened.

He began to move forward on the now-destroyed lands strewn with blackened bodies of the Pyromancers. Burned to crisp by lightning bolts... What an ironic way to die as the beings made of flames.

"Vortia? But that place is ruled by some tyrant with a massive following, right? How'd you, a pipsqueak manage that?!" asked Tomoe, in disbelief.

"First and foremost, I've always been a skilled fighter and assassin. More so than my beloved, but only losing against Baldwin by a small step. I wielded the Universe's most powerful Element and survived. Most have already gone mad or have been slain."

"But here I stand, in a mix of random Mages and trying to defend humans from the other beings that've gone off the wagon to gain more power. Vortia was nothing to me, ruled by some foe I had met on one of my past journeys. He owed me like ten Gold,"

"However, instead of coughing it up like he'd promised, he decided to poison me and trap me within his castle walls. But since I had powers and no Mages were around, I decided to kill all that tried to keep me in."

"The civilians were spared, of course, and had been moved into the Teuton Domain with the Vigilante's help. And that day, I made that land to merge with the Teuton Domain. Luckily, not too much damage was done, except for about 3000 humans who were dead."

"Normally, it won't be such a big deal since I have taken down armies by myself before, but it so happened that some sneaking gossipers caught wind of the incident and..."

"Decided to spread the news?" finished the Kitsune as he followed his Master.

"You do realize that your organization aims to make Mages and humans live in harmony, right? That what your love wants..." questioned Tomoe.

"That's nothing but a silly childhood dream. Humans and Mages can never live in harmony so long as humans are humans. They live for conflict. They prance for war. They breathe for discord. Humans won't be as fun to hang out with without those few things."
