That Change In Personality

"Isn't she coming downstairs for dinner?", Mrs Smith asked.

"She just slept, she was tired", Grandma took a chair back and sat down.

"Elin, I forgot to place a blanket on her. After dinner, will you please go and put it on her for me? ", she added.

"Sure Grandma", Elin nodded. Smith family continued enjoying their dinner.

After dinner, Elin walked upstairs. She was about to twist the doorknob of her room when she remembered to put a blanket on her sister. She made her way towards the corner room of the passage.

She twisted the doorknob and slowly opened it, carefully not to wake up Serin. But, Serin was not in her room. Elin was worried, she began searching for her sister in her room.

The time speed between both the world ran differently. Time in the real world was slow compared to the another world.

It was early in the morning, Damen walked out of his tent to warm up his muscular body early in the morning. To his surprise, there was no snow ou there. Spring has taken his place over winter everywhere in Artemis.

Witches from the city of the star finally decided to travel to the city of the moon. Collecting all the necessary magical stones for arms and magical water and other essentials for potions, on their way.

"Why is it hot? Wha-", the light grey fur wolf stopped when he saw that snow disappeared. Slowly everyone came out of their tents, to find out why was it hot. Everyone was happy to see that winter ended until the group of witch arrived at Damen's secret location, in the early evening.

Few wolves of the tents gathered around the bonfire. Witches bowed with respect before Damen. Witches continued with their paperwork on the research of Edurne.

"Are you okay now?", Sofia asked.

"Had a great sleep. Thank you for the melodious lullaby last night", Serin grinned. Yawning and frowning her face at the same time while sitting on the bed.

She removed the blanket that covered her body and threw it down on the floor. Feeling hot than last night, gave her mood swings. She felt annoyed and removed all the warm jackets she was wearing last night to protect herself from cold.

"Why is it hot all of the sudden?", Serin whined, throwing the jackets on the chair.

Where the winter relaxed Serin's mind, it was a lot in the plate for the citizens of Artemis.

"Snow disappeared in the morning. Isn't it good to see the snow go away on its own?", Sofia asked in amusement, looking out of the window.

Serin nodded with a slight smile on her face and walked towards washroom to get fresh. She understood that snow was not the same thing for them, like her.

Serin already skipped her breakfast and lunch. She overslept until the afternoon because of the nightmares she got last night due to tiredness and lack of sleep. She walked out of the tent with Mr and Mrs Forster, gazing at new faces gathered around the bonfire.

Her eyebrows met in confusion, curious to know who all the females were in similar black robes. She asked Kane and Sofia about them.

They explained to her that they are witches from the star and flew out here to meet Damen. They were talking something important about Edurne with all the high officers working with Damen.

Serin nodded and kept waiting, sitting on the stone, for the meeting to conclude. Finally, when the sun was almost about to set down, they all dispersed. Serin walked towards Damen to ask about what they were talking but found herself dumbfounded when ignored by Damen.

He went with the witches towards a tent, asking them "Where is Asterin? Why did not she came?".

Serin clenched her jaw and bite her lower lips in disappointment. She looks at it as an insult if a person ignores her for others. She was not jealous, but her self respect which was average in her world got hurt a little.

She stomped her foot on the ground in anger and went near the fireplace to sit down. Not a few minutes about the peaceful seat, Kane came out of the tent and changed himself into a wolf. He ran towards the forest, and Sofia came out too from behind him. She called out his name to stop, but he didn't.

"I'll bring them back safely", the light grey wolf spoke who came behind them from the tent. He nodded to other few wolves and they all ran behind him. Serin walked towards Sofia who was sobbing.

"Suzan", she began sobbing hard.

"Mrs Forster, calm down. What happened to Suzan?", Serin asked, offering her a glass of water.

"They- they kidnapped her", she spoke between her sobs.

"Who-", Serin's words were cut off by Damen.

"The Demos? They came back?", he walked towards them. Everyone, including witches, gathered around them.

Sofia nodded and Damen chuckled making Serin angrier. He then walked inside the tent and Serin chased him. He was about to walk upstairs when Serin holds his hands and pulled him back to face her. She was angry, first that he ignored her and second, instead of going behind wolves and saving Suzan, he chuckled as if it was a joke.

"What kind of Prince are you? Don't you see those tears in her eyes?", she yelled.

Damen shoved away Serin's hands from his and turned back to walk upstairs.

"Stop right there. I'm talking to you Damen", she yelled, losing all the honorifics towards him.

Damen sighed loud before turning back to face Serin and clenching his fists and jaws. His eyes turning black, a wave of clear anger was visible through it.

"What did you called me? You forgot who I am?", he walked towards her. Sofia and others wanted to stop Damen but did not dare. They know the result would not be good if they interfere in between him.

Asterin is the only one, who can stop him. Who can interfere and make him calm, by giving him potions and casting a spell on him. Asterin, the princess of star city and youngest sister of Damen.

Serin was astounded, looking at the different personality of Damen. She took steps back, shaking. She bumped into the table and felt down on the floor, trembling to stand back on her feet.

"I talked to you in a good way, so what? How dare you misbehave with me?", he caught Serin through her collars and made her stand. He holds her hands and dragged her upstairs with him.

"You are not going anywhere from this room. If you dare, no one here will take your responsibility if you die", he locked Serin in a room beside his room and left to go downstairs.

Serin's heart crumbled. She sat down on her knees, regretting to think he was a good person. Regretting why did not she went against her parent's decision on coming to Daegu. Regretting finding out that mirror.

"Wait, Kane. You should not go further on your own", Light grey wolf stopped him. They all were hiding behind bushes, looking towards Suzan who was unconscious and tied with a tree. Demons were guarding her around.

Normal wolves alone couldn't fight with demons. One demon is equal to three wolves, and they were five. And wolves were just four. Before they could plan further, a bright light ray felled hard on the ground, collapsing the ground in different parts.

Demons picked up their arms and walked towards the light thing. The light was so bright, it was impossible for demons to adjust their eyesight to the brightness. She was Asterin, in her star form.

She raised both her hands up in the air and closed her hands. Tiny knives appeared in her hands, and she stabbed it on them. Making all the demons fade away in black smoke, she came back into her real self.

Shiny indigo eyes, pale and beautiful healthy fair skin, long wavy golden hairs with a crown on head, and a white gown with a purple robe on it, A true beauty. She escaped Suzan by cutting off the ropes with one of the tiny knives and ran away with wolves towards Damen's secret location in between the Dark Forest.

She entered the place, Suzan with her. Sofia and other wolves, including witches bowed before Asterin in respect. Where Forsters were happy to meet each other safely, Damen was angry on Kane for hiding Serin.

Serin was a foreigner to their pack and hiding a foreigner without permission is one of the crimes of Artemis. And with the addition, Serin is not only a foreigner but a human too. This makes the crime more serious.

Everyone cheered in happiness for Forsters and comeback of Asterin when Damen appeared before them in rage. Silence took place, watching their prince in rage.

Bewildered look appeared on Asterin face, looking at her Elder brother in such a bad mood. She took steps back and disappeared in the air. While Damen reached up to Kane and caught his collars in his hands, making him startled.

"How dare you hide a foreigner human in our pack? Did you forget our rules? You have a death wish?", He grumbled.

"I- I apologize, prince Damen. I apologize through the bottom of my heart", Kane looked down in regret, shameful for his crime being an officer.

Damen planned to kill him. Take away his life for breaking the rules being an officer. Committing a crime, which could have harmed others if Serin was Edurne. But Damen changed his mind when he saw two ladies beside him crying their soul out. Remembering about Cavin who is a kid and gained is consciousness only a few hours ago.

"Your position of being an officer is taken back by Mr Kane Forster. You can never participate in future to any works or activities which are related to the socialism and welfare of citizens", Damen loosen his grip and stepped back.

He was about to go back to Serin and bring out his frustration on her, but he was stopped by Asterin. She injected a needle into his neck from behind with a grin.

"I was eager to use my needle of sleep on someone. And here I go with my brother first", she chuckled and made unconscious Damen fly in the air. Everyone around looked at Asterin with a jaw drop.

She disappeared with him in the air before everyone and went into his room. Making him lay down on his bed and covering him with a blanket.

She walked out of his room, closing it behind her back. Her eyebrows met in the puzzle when she saw Cavin standing and twisting doorknob of the room beside his brother's.

"Isn't it opening? Can I help you kid?", she asked, bending to his level.

"Princess", he bowed before her in respect.

"I think my friend is locked inside the room"

Asterin stood erect with the confusion that why his friend was locked inside.

"I think your parents need you downstairs. Don't worry, I'll take care of your friend. Okay?", she winked with smile and Cavin nodded before running downstairs.

Asterin opened the door with her magic and walked inside. She was startled to look Serin. She took a few steps back, trembling. Asterin remembered something from her past. And when she saw the purple crystal bracelet in Serin's hands, she felt down on her knees.
