Situation Getting Worse

Asura had thought that everything was going to be fine, but suddenly, except for the syndicate leader and the person who was fighting with the vice headmaster all the members of the Crimson Cobra Syndicate members circled in one place and the Elite team members surrounded them.

When the members of the syndicate concentrated in one place, their defenses became stronger, but they also became easy targets for the members of the elite team. From another perspective, this move seemed suicidal, and it was clear they would soon be defeated.

Su Lin, who was observing the situation, felt that something was amiss. She questioned why the syndicate members had chosen this suicidal tactic when fighting normally would have at least caused some casualties among the elite team.

While pondering this, a red light emitted from the circle, casting the shadow of a giant serpent made of spiritual energy. People wondered whose spiritual attack was responsible for this manifestation because the spiritual energy it was emitting was terrifying.

The massive serpent hissed at the elite team's Sky realm cultivators and suddenly attacked one of them, engulfing him. While the other members tried to help, they unleashed their strongest attack towards the spiritual serpent which caused a beautiful scene to appear in the sky.

Their strongest attacks initially seemed effective, causing the serpent's light to dim. However, their relief was short-lived as the serpent's light rekindled, and the attacked member's aura vanished—indicating his death.

Panic spread among the elite team as they struggled to understand how the seemingly fading serpent had regained its strength. Upon closer inspection, they realized that the syndicate members were sacrificing their essence blood to empower the spiritual serpent.

As the serpent's strength grew, it systematically devoured the members of the elite team one by one. Asura was also in a state of panic, as he hadn't anticipated that the syndicate possessed such formidable abilities.

Gradually, the Sky realm cultivators of the elite team began to fall. In desperation, Sir Eric and the vice headmaster attempted to intervene but were restrained by their opponents. Their only option was to dispatch their adversaries quickly before aiding their besieged teammates.

In a matter of moments, over half of the elite team's sky realm cultivators had perished, and the situation grew direr. Unable to bear the sight, Sir Eric forcibly disengaged from his opponent and charged toward the spiritual serpent.

Seizing this opening, the syndicate's leader unleashed his spiritual attack, known as the "Snake Bite," causing Sir Eric to lose an arm. Despite this setback, Sir Eric pressed on, releasing his own spiritual attack, the "Honored Sword," which cut the spiritual snake in two. As a result, all the syndicate members connected to the serpent perished.

Amid the chaos, the leader of the syndicate laughed maniacally. He understood that while Sir Eric had defeated the spiritual serpent, he had paid a heavy price and was now no match for the syndicate's leader. The leader rushed to aid his sole remaining subordinate, who was locked in combat with the vice headmaster.

The leader directly attacked the vice headmaster. Although the vice headmaster had initially held the upper hand, the leader's intervention shifted the balance, leaving him struggling to defend himself.

The clash between the leader of the syndicate and his subordinate, who was fighting alongside him against the vice headmaster, intensified as powerful spiritual energies clashed, creating shockwaves that reverberated through the area. Su Lin, her heart pounding, could sense the desperation in the air. The vice headmaster fought valiantly, drawing upon every ounce of his strength and skill to withstand the assault from these two formidable opponents.

However, the syndicate leader's experience and cunning gave him an edge. He exploited every opening and weakness he saw in the vice headmaster's defense, pressing him further and further. The battle was fierce, but it was clear that the vice headmaster was gradually losing ground.

Meanwhile, Sir Eric, bloodied and weakened from his encounter with the syndicate leader, struggled to maintain his stance as he faced the aftermath of his daring move. His Honored Sword attack had been successful in vanquishing the spiritual serpent, but the cost had been tremendous. The loss of his arm had not only taken a physical toll but also shaken his confidence. He knew that he was no longer at his peak, and the syndicate leader's laughter echoed in his ears as a reminder of the price he had paid.

After a few moments, what they feared happened - the vice sect master lost the fight. But the leader of the syndicate didn't kill him. Instead, he temporarily crippled the vice sect master and then tossed him where Sir Eric was. He said, "You guys fought well, but in the end you will all die."

After a brief pause, he continued, "You know how much time and resources it will take to rebuild the syndicate as before? This is all thanks to you. As a reward, I will kill your juniors first, right in front of you. Then it will be your turn, Sir Eric and vice headmaster. But first, I will deal with these three who ruined my plans - otherwise, you all would be killed by now."

After saying that, he reached forward to grab Su Lin by the neck. But Asura came forward in front of Su Lin, so the leader grabbed Asura's neck instead. For him, it didn't matter who died first between the three - all he wanted was to kill them with his own hands.
