MONA

Since I accepted the royal princess's contract to be her Makeup artist for the wedding, have been extremely happy, Jack agreed and was happy for me so also my family.

My best friend Becca also cheered me on, everyone at my company were also very happy me. They all believed i was going to make them proud. Having been encouraged from friends and family got me feeling so loved and appreciated.

I began self training like i used to. I watched YouTube videos on how to make Royal princess look very beautiful with perfect looking makeover. In Short before I go on any work i always practice before going not because I can't do a good job without practicing but it was a form of reassurance to me.

I was at the office on a Monday morning trying to arrange the files and data of clients have worked on and the new ones that recently came in who wants their makeup done at a set date.

I heard a knock on my door and surprisingly it was non other than my colleague and office friend Sarah.

"May I come in."

"Sure you can. How are you doing today Sarah?."

"I'm quite alright," she said pushing up those big glasses she always puts on.

"How's your preparation for the big day?."

"By big day you mean the Royal wedding?."

"Of course, you know am so very happy for you Mona, you deserve such an opportunity. You are my role model now you know."

"Are you being serious right now?, Oh my God, l... am so honoured but am not that great. You are a talent yourself Sarah."

"Thank you...I wish I could go with you. You have no idea how much I've wanted to see a royal wedding and what a real princess looks like, if there's really a castle with guards...and maids... you know like we always see in Disney movies."

Mona laughed at Sarah's words.

"You know what Sarah, I don't know what a royal princess looks like too but you can actually come with me because have been giving an opportunity to choose an assistant to take with me so it won't be too stressful for me."

"Mona are you serious!, oh my...am so very happy right now... I bless the day I met you".

Sarah jumped for joy hugging Mona so tightly.

"So let's all get prepared and give the princess a memorable wedding...."

They both laughed happily.

"Though..Sarah its the day before Christmas, sure you won't want to be with your family?."

"That won't be a problem at all. My parents will be so overjoyed to hear the great news so its a go!". They laughed again.

Later that afternoon Mona informed Mrs Charlotte she has decided on taking Sarah with her to be her assistant.

Mrs Charlotte agreed and was very happy Mona agreed to go for the wedding.

Mona and Jack barely had time to talk this few days because Jack always complained about being too busy. Mona was beginning to feel something was off but she was too busy preparing for the princess's wedding.

JACK

Jack tried breaking off his relationship with Tara but it was harder than he thought.

He can't continue like this he thought.

One time she had threatened to report him to her father if he tries breaking up with her because she already told her dad about their relationship.

In fact their relationship was no longer news to the company and some gossiped about him saying his relationship with the Boss's daughter was the reason he kept being promoted which was an honest truth.

He should have stopped Tara when she initially told him she was going to ask her Dad to promote him. She assured him he would get promoted because she was his only daughter and he never refused her.

If only he wasn't blinded by greed and lust he would have easily rejected the offer.

It was weekend and Jack was home alone so he invited his friend Mike for a drink at his place.

Mike arrived shortly after.

"What's up bro?. whats the occasion about that you choose to have a drink in the middle of the day?."

"Nothing much, its weekend and I feel like having a drink."

"Hmm that's strange. It's the first time am seeing you drink in the middle of the day. Spill what's wrong?."

Jack heaved a sigh after some minutes of silence.

"I think am really messed up this time.

Tara has threatened to report me to her Dad if I tried breaking up with her again and you know what will happen to me the moment I do that?.

I know my Dad is a good friend of my boss, but that will not stop him from laying me off my job because i already got involved with the daughter he treasures.

Dude am so messed up right now."

Mike felt really bad for his friend because it was very obvious he was in a dead end this time.

"You know I saw this coming and I remember telling you about it.

You've only got two options now.

One is to accept Tara as your girlfriend and probably marry her so all these troubles will finally get to an end but you will be breaking Mona's heart if you do so and be hated be hated by her for the rest of your life.

The second is for you to give Tara a clean break, leave the company if it comes to that and make your Dad understand that you could get a new job in some other company.

But, this second choice is going to be very risky because from what I know about Mr Bolton, he might shut you out from every company you try to get in and that will make your life more miserable Jack.

The ball is in your court now, you choose what you should decide on what you think might be best for you.

The next day at work, Jack was called to his boss's office.

When he got there, he found Tara in the office as well looking very gloomy.

His heart sank when he saw his boss looking very pissed, he knew Tara must have reported him to his boss.

"Am here per your request boss" Jack summoned courage to speak not minding what the boss might say at this moment.

"Mr Graham Jack, I wouldn't want to disregard your Father's relationship with me just for you, but I will never tolerate you being so merciless to my daughter.

Jack trembled in fear, his hands sweaty for he knew what will happen to him if he gets laid off from work.

" Now listen to me young man, my daughter isn't some cheap jewellery you get from the jewellery store."

"You have two choices Jack. Its either you start being good to my daughter or you leave my company and trust me, I will make you pay for everything you've done to her."

"But if you make her happy, you will continue working for the company and I will have a chance of running the company with me in the future as my son in-law."

This was exactly what Jack was afraid, and that is him having to choose between his work and Mona.

Mr Evans will make sure no other company employed him and that will break him, even his Dad will be so disappointed in him.

But when Jack thought about the second choice, he became selfish.

This is an opportunity that never came by easily.

He contemplated on his two choices for some minutes.

"Am so sorry Mona, this is an opportunity I cannot refuse, am sure you will find Someone better than me in the future."

Mr Evans and Tara waited patiently for Jack's answer after presenting him with an offer he cannot refuse.

Jack finally made his decision, promising to be good to his boss's daughter which made Tara very happy.

FLASHBACK

Tara had cried to her father, she told him how Jack has always tried to break up with her.

She told her Dad, she wanted no one else but Jack.

Mr Evans was not pleased at this information and pleaded with his daughter to let go of Jack for he could help her get any man of her choice.

Tara refused her father and insisted on having only Jack as her husband.

Mr Evans had no choice but to make a plan with his daughter in order to test Jack.

He told her he would only help her if Jack accepts his proposal to run the company with him if he marries her.

But if he refuses and decides to leave the company, then there was nothing he could do to help her.

Tara was okay with the plan for she knew Jack was never going to refuse working with the CEO since he was very ambitious.

END OF FLASHBACK

After Jack left his boss's office, Tara leapt for joy and embraced her father.

"I knew it!, I knew he would never turn down the offer".

Mr Evans wasn't pleased at Jack's response for he knew an ambitious man will never be satisfied.
