Chapter 39 :Puzzled

THIRD POV～ 

 They sit in the huge meeting room around the circular table placed in the middle while starring at each others faces.

 Alexander sat at the other side of the table while Vladimir sits facing him,on the right of Vladimir is Ruby while his left is Zach and then Althea.

 Judith sits there her chair close to Alexander while purposely putting her hands on the man who doesn't do anything about it.

 Alexander's gaze is fixated on Ruby who just looks at everything in the room blankly and smile occasionally at what Zach says across the room.

 ''The Emeralds you are looking for aren't here Alexander''Vladimir says his voice stern and living no room for arguement.

 Five months ago they went to the ball with a motive which was to get a pair of enhanted emeralds that is to be placed on the sword, it turned out it was in Alexander's posession hence it was easier for Ruby to get it.

 Smirking Ruby relaxes and stares at Alexander whose head could not help but recall her earlier words.

 'He felt insulted.

 ''That is not the only reason why I am here Vladimir,I want us to talk in private''Alexander says and makes gestures around the room.

 Without waiting Ruby and the others push back their chair to leave the room.

 ''Where are you going''Vladimir asks holding her hand but she just smiles and nods reassuringly at him.

 Seeing their intimate action Alexander cannot help the growl that escapes his lips.

 They walk out of the room and Alexander pushes Judiths arms away from his and glares at the annoying woman who immediately stands up and walks out of the room.

 Outside the room Ruby sits on a chair there casually browsing through her phone her legs crossed in a relaxed posture.

 Judith walks out and sneers at the sight before her.

 Zachary and Althea had already gone to the field for whatever and Ruby decided to just for Vladimir outside the room.

 Judith walks closer to Ruby's frame and stands in front of her,her hands crossed over her chest while showing her displeasure.

 Being ignored her anger raises and she lets out a mock scoff.

 ''You have already fallen from grace,just who do you think you are''Judith asks a a proud look on her face.

 Even if nothing was really going on between she and Alexander nobody knew that except herslef and she planned to mock Ruby with it.

 ''Ruby''Ruby answers calmly before standing up from the chair and Judiths face spots a confused gaze.

 ''What''She asks trying to understand what Ruby means by calling her name.

 ''Ruby,that's my name and I am someone who will destroy you if you mess with me'' Ruby tells her and pauses''I hope you now know who I am''She finishes and goes to continue walking when she feels judith's hands on her shoulder.

 Turning with an impossible speed her hand clasped around Judiths neck and with a bang hits her head on the wall which causes a scream to tear out if her lips.

 ''Don't you fucking dare''She warns calmly and removes her hand from her neck only for judith to swing her hand trying to punch her.

 Dodging effortlessly she lands a punch on her face before kicking her stomach which makes her scream while holding her stomach in pain.

 Using her hands to hold her neck in a tight grip she lifts Judith's body off the floor effortlessly and soon holds her against the wall strangling her.

 Letting out a choked sob Judith struggles trying to escape from Ruby's tight grip on her neck but fails miserably.

 Her eyes start rolling out with gasp escaping her lips which just makes her look like a fish taken out of water.

 The men walk out of the meeting room and the first thing they see is Ruby stranggling Judith who struggles to be let free.

 An annoyed sigh escapes Alexander's lips and he takes long strides towards them before wrapping his arms around Ruby from behind.

 Engulfed by the familiar scent and the tingles and sparks that starts appearing Ruby quickly pushes him away from her body before turning to glare at him.

 ''Touch me again Alpha and I'll make sure you regret it''Ruby hisses before walking away from them rage rolling off her body.

 Alexander stands there puzzled by her behaviour,her acting strange and foreign towards him scared him.

 Has he lost her?.
