Alpha Nicholas stepped forward and placed a cautious hand on Marcus's shoulder, making him immediately look into his dad's eyes. His dad motioned with his head in my direction and Marcus immediately followed suit. His eyes locked with mine and I immediately saw them soften, even if his deadly grip didn't do so whatsoever. After a few moments, he let out a heavy sigh and released his hold, having the rogue drop onto the floor gasping for air.

Marcus stepped over him with ease and immediately took me in his arms, taking deep breaths as he pulled me closer. He tenderly kissed my injured arm, a cooling sensation coursing through my veins immediately before letting go. I wrapped my arms around his bare waist and felt his body relax against my touch. I buried my face against his chest, letting out a sigh of relief as I listened in on the Alpha's discussion with the Beta.
