Chapter 2: Ruthless Melissa

Romeo was rendered speechless, he wasn't expecting such an absurd request from her, since he was born, he have been concealed from public view, and all his education have been done close door, even his tutors were hired from the best universities in the world, he has little contact with people.

Melissa sneered "you don't dare accept what you wished for, huh?"

Romeo blushed in embarrassment "I... a.gree" he stuttered.

A mischievous smile appeared on Melissa's face, he glanced at Old Dante, but he remained standing with an expressionless face "get me the contract"

David raised his head "my Queen, this isn't the plan, we planned to destroy the entire Dante family, why the change of plans?"

Melissa turned swiftly, and glared at him murderously, David lowered his head instantly "who gave you the guts to question me?" she asked icily.

Beads of sweat gathered on David's forehead, he knelt immediately "I am sorry, Queen, I was only reminding you o..."

Smack!

A crisp sound exploded and David who was kneeling was sent flying backwards until his back slammed into the wall.

"Don't dare question me again" Melissa warned sternly.

Romeo's mouth was hung open, he looked at Melissa fearfully, he have never seen such a violent scene before, Melissa frowned, wondering if the Dante family were too ashamed to expose their human son to the public. Her impression of the Dante family plummeted.

"Get me the contract" she ordered.

"Yes, Alpha"

Some minutes later, a drafted contract and a pen were brought and shoved into Romeo's jittery arms, Melissa narrowed her eyes at him "don't you want to sign it and save your grandfather's life anymore"

"I will" Romeo replied, his lips quivering.

Melissa snatched it immediately after he was done signing and handed it over to the sturdy men that accompanied David.

"Leave us, and take him away" she nodded towards Romeo.

Romeo was stunned, he wasn't expecting Melissa to go back on her words, two sturdy men grabbed his arms roughly and tried to pull him away.

"Hey, you promised not to hurt him!"

Melissa didn't even spare him a look, Romeo kept on yelling as he was pulled along.

"Old Dante, don't you have anything to say, I have never known you as a man of few words, you have been known as the most eloquent man in the assembly of the packs, why the sudden dumbness?"

"Treat him well, or you will regret your actions" Old Dante responded and turned around swiftly, before Melissa could react, he was gone.

"Old bastard, I didn't expect you to run away like a coward" she yelled, but there was no response, strangely, the route he took she doesn't know, no matter how hard she tried to search for it.

She gave up and left the Moon pack house, the news of the defeat of the Dante family spread amongst the nightcrawlers of NY city.

When Melissa returned home, David was the first to report to her "he has been taken to the dungeon and locked away there, what should we do to him?" he inquired.

Melissa raised her eyebrows and retorted "nothing, he is my husband." she started walking away, David clenched his fists in anger and stared at her ferociously "she will never love you, you should have known this by now, you are just a mere bodyguard who does her biddings" a feminine voice said behind him.

David's face became gloomier, he turned around and glared at Angela, she wore a sexy evening gown that split at the side, exposing her spotless leg. "she loves me, she is doing all this just to claim the Dante family seat in the Packs assembly" David replied with a straight face, he refused to accept what Angela had said.

"Fool!" Angela taunted and started laughing, David's face darkened, he grabbed her by the neck, and pinned her to the wall, his face inches away from her.

"whore, you have forgotten how I use to punish you, I will have to treat you just the way you deserve" David snorted, Angela who was being choked struggled to release his grasp, but David was stronger.

He let her go, Angela coughed and laugh angering David the more, he grabbed her dress, and tore it with his bare hands, revealing her red bra, which showcased ample of her breasts.

Melissa strode towards her private chamber, the long doorway was devoid of people, she doesn't like the servants lurking in the area.

Her eyes narrowed when she heard two different heartbeats, and funny sounds, she quicken her footfalls.

and saw two men making out while grabbing each other's asses.

The moment they sighted her, they ended what they were doing and bowed their heads "what did I say about this part of the mansion?"

The two guys were shaking in fear "we are sorry, Alpha, we didn't intend to disobey your rules"

Melissa narrowed her eyes "but you two did, you know what the punishment is, go and serve it" she ordered.

The two of them bowed and hasten their footsteps, Melissa turned around and approached a door, she hesitated before opening the door.

the room she opened was very dark, even the light along the passage was blocked from filtering inside the room, Melissa strode in like everything was within her expectation, she closed the door, and stood beside the door.

"I defeated the Dante family today, and I revenged my parents," she said slowly, a tired old feminine voice replied "vengeance can only beget vengeance, one day, you will wake up, and realised all you claimed to be truths are mere imaginations created by fate to fool you, fortune is now in charge of you, child"

Melissa yelled "you have never supported me! I will always prove you wrong, that I can win without you, and the moon goddess too"

She turned around and opened the door "it isn't too late" the tired feminine voice reminded "fuck all of you, I don't give a damn anymore"
