Chapter one: The Beginning

It was 11:45 pm but the area was still busy as hell, the door to a small dirty looking house opened with a man being thrown out of there but he was still persistent on entering back inside.

"Just one more round please"! he shouted but was ignored but he kept insisting. when the people couldn't withstand his noise they shouted back at him.

"Just go home already!", you have lost everything and there is nothing you can bet on again, the scary looking bouncer said to the man with his face twisting in a very annoyed way showing he was tired of dealing with the messy man already.

I can give you anything!!, anything you want in exchange for one more round I really need my house back.

The bouncer and people around him ignored him because he had already lost and no one gets back what he lost in a gambling house but when the door was about to close up on him a voice came from the shadow 'Anything?, you said that you can give anything for the exchange of your house the voice from the shadow asked,

Yes anything you ask of me as long as I can afford it said the disorganized looking man who was obviously drunk but would do anything at the moment to get what he wants.

The man that has been speaking from the shadow stepped forward slowly, the man was obviously good looking but had a scar dividing half of his face with an evil smirk on his lips making him look somewhat scary, leaning down to the man that was crawling on the floor, he brought out a paper and told him to sign the agreement.

'I will not only give you back your house but also alot of money but that would be only if you win this round but if you lose I have only one request, your wife and son you would have to give them to me. is that a deal? he asked completely aware that the man before him would agree to anything he said at the moment as long as money was involved.

A normal sane person should have been surprised on how fast the documents of the agreement came about but the man on the floor at the moment was out of it and without thinking any further signed the documents.

Okay!, open the door!! the scar face man shouted and the door was opened with both of them walking into the house.

The little door lead them into the dirty looking house but as they went deep inside the size of the house was not as it seemed from outside. There were many rooms inside the house, the arena was noisy with many activities going on inside the area because it was a normal gambling house but people do know that there were some illegal things going on but nobody had the evidence so they kept quiet.

Yang Yize who has been lured in by the scar faced man was now taken to sit at a vip table. "Why would I sit here"?, he asked with a confused face. This is the seat for my vip customers, since you are now a vip I can't let you sit at a common table Wang Fu said with his scar face showing a sly smile.

The game has now gone half way with Yang Yize wining the first two rounds which now made him high in spirits but human greed is sure scary.

"All in"!!! he shouted with a face full of confidence from wining the previous rounds. Are you sure?, won't you go home now after getting back your house with a few cash on top. Am sure!, I will surely win this round , Yang Yize's face was now all smiles but that came crashing down after two minutes into the game because he lost everything.

What's going on?, how can this happen? are you all in this together, I was surely wining so how can this be !!. The game is over Yize and you lost so I would be coming to your house to collect your debt tomorrow, guys see him out.

Yang Yize was still in trance when he was thrown out, the loss made him sober up a little with him running back to his house to escape with his wife and family.

Meng Yao, Yuchen, he called his wife and son in a whisper trying to wake them up because it was fifteen minutes past two in the morning and his family were sleeping just like everyone else in the neighborhood.

Wake up we need to leave this place now Yize told his wife with total affirmation, it's two in the morning what do you mean by leaving the house, where are we going to this early morning?. Don't ask questions just get Yuchen let's leave immediately.

Still in a confused state but decided to listen to her husband she woke up their teenage son who was about fifteen years old with her husband packing up their clothes in a rushed but quite motion and about to thirty minutes later they left the house with the whole family rushing downtown but the wife and son was still in a confused state so they decided to ask.

Why are we running away from our house Yize?, who is after us?, a confused Meng Yao questioned her husband.

Why won't you answer my questions Yize?, if you don't answer my questions I won't continue running with you, tell me why I left the comfort of my home this early morning to run away with you to an unknown destination yet you are not giving me an explanation.

I lost everything, okay I lost everything we have, the house, my car and even my job!. I lost every single thing we have, there is nothing left, nothing.

I knew you lost your job because of the misunderstanding at your office and I told you that I will look for a way to sort it out but what do you mean by losing the house and car?. a confused Meng Yao kept asking her husband.

Should I always let you sort things out for me?, am the man of the house but I always get you into trouble, you always clean up after my mess and I decided not this time but I lost, I couldn't succeed.
