The meeting between the shifters and the Elders was located in a neutral forest clearing. Sage stood next to Caspian and her mother at the edge of the tree line. Felix stood on Caspian’s left, observing quietly.
The Elders stood on one end of the clearing across from the Alpha, his Beta, and a female shifter. Caspian’s father had a stoic look on his face, one she’d seen before on her mate’s. His Beta was shorter and thinner than him but commanded the same respect in his presence. The woman on the Alpha’s right was beautiful, her hair a snow white like Caspian’s wolf. She observed the Elders with a quiet piercing gaze.
Sage wondered who she was. Could that be Caspian’s mother?
There wasn’t a moment to ask as the meeting began.
“We are here to discuss the integration of our kinds,” the blonde Elder witch started. “Caspian, the future Alpha of your pack, has offered Sage the position of Luna.”
