For at least two hundred years, Madam Coco Blass’s shop had catered to the fashionable people in Wildefell. Coco Blass had dressed many a duke and duchess, a count and countess, a knight and his lady, as well as paladins, cavaliers, off-duty clergy, well-to-do wizards and witches, kings, queens, ladies-in-waiting, and the rich and powerful merchants in the city, including some of the wealthier tradesmen and artisans.
Now, their customers included one Duke Patch Cresta of New Moon, currently taking his time admiring himself in a mirror while one of Madam Blass’s saleswomen adjusted the sleeves of his doublet. “The length is perfect, Your Grace,” the saleswoman said.
