CHAPTER 144 No Sign of Her

  Lance's POV

I paced the room, waiting for Maisie, it's been hours since she left.

I shouldn't have let her investigate, I should've gone with her.

She wasn't back and that was scaring the heck out of me.

I tapped my feet on the floor impatiently, carefully checking the door. She didn't carry her phone, and I was trying to reach her, but it wasn't working.

The mind link wasn't working, it scared the heck out of me.

"Shit!" I cursed quietly under my breath. I was worried about her and I was pacing like a caged animal, what if she got hurt? It would be my fault, again.

I shouldn't have let her go alone, I knew Sheila was suspicious, but I didn't know it'll be to this extent.

I hope Maisie didn't get into trouble, or much worse encounter something else while following Sheila.

I hope she didn't encounter the witch, that would break me totally, I knew the witch really wanted Maisie and has been trying to hurt her for a long time now.
