　　Serena

　　Six days have passed since we talked with Tori.

　　Inside the cabin, the gentle scent of pine and the aged wood that enveloped me created a comforting atmosphere, while my mind buzzed with anxious thoughts. The room was dimly lit, with flickering candlelight casting shifting shadows on the wooden walls, creating an intimate and rustic ambiance that mirrored the uncertainty I was feeling.

　　Sitting there, I couldn't help but worry about whether Tori would truly commit to helping us. My heart raced with anxiety, and I shared my concerns with Alexei, who was sitting at the table, drinking his coffee.

　　"I can't help but feel anxious, Alexei," I whispered softly Alexei turned his head to me as he put down his cup. "What if Tori decided to side with Mathilde and failed us?"

　　Alexei offered a reassuring smile. He looked me straight in the eyes and let me have a piece of what was going on inside his mind.
