Chapter 13

　　Serena

　　Resting in bed, I could still feel the ache of my healing wounds. The memory of the attack lingered in me like a shadow. No matter what I do, it will forever be part of me. But it’s not because of the terrible encounter I had with those pervert rogues. Rather, it’s because of Remus, the spirit wolf that forever changed my life.

　　As I lay there, my mind wandered to the spirit wolf who had connected with me on that scary day. It felt like a long time had passed, and yet the memory was as clear as day.

　　I hadn't really thought about Remus and our connection much since then. I was busy recovering and regaining my strength. But now, in the quiet night, thoughts of him came back to me.

　　I wasn't born with a spirit wolf, so having Remus in my life was both amazing and puzzling. I was pretty sure he had spoken to me and helped me shift into a wolf during the attack. Still, I wondered if it was all just a dream caused by the fear.
