Fidel and Ciara sprinted through the jungle, their feet pounding against the damp earth. The air was thick with humidity and the sounds of exotic birds filled their ears. They had been training for weeks, honing Ciara's Lycan abilities, and Fidel was impressed with her progress.
"Keep your senses sharp!" Fidel yelled above the din of the jungle. "Use your nose, your ears, your instincts!"
Ciara nodded; her blue eyes fixed intently on the path ahead. She was learning to control her shifts, to harness her strength and speed. Fidel was a demanding teacher, but she trusted him implicitly.
As they ran, Ciara suddenly darted to the left, her senses on high alert. Fidel followed, his eyes scanning the underbrush. A sleek jaguar emerged; its eyes fixed on Ciara. Fidel growled, his hackles raised, but Ciara simply smiled.
"I've got this," she said, her voice confident.
