William Afton goes on a multiversal journey... Yup, he's a villain now... in my stories.
Fire. Heat. Pain.
William Afton's existence had been reduced to these primal sensations. He couldn't tell if it was hours or centuries that he had endured the inferno. The fire was his punishment, and yet, it was also his own doing. The Springtrap suit he'd once donned had long since fused with his body, a grotesque amalgamation of flesh and machine. It had been his prison through one fire. The second one had been meant to finish the job.
It hadn't.
The agony never stopped. Not in the first fire that scorched him alive. Not in the second, when his abomination of a body was set alight once more. He had survived by sheer willpower, but this time, the universe seemed determined to see him undone. Every fragment of his being felt the weight of his sins: the murders, the betrayals, and the countless lives ruined in pursuit of his twisted immortality.
But something changed.
Amid the crackle of flames and the endless screams in his mind, William felt a shift, a pull. It wasn't death—it was worse. Something deep within the fabric of reality tore open, dragging his soul and body into a swirling abyss.
---
When he came to, the fire was gone. So was his flesh.
William opened his eyes—or rather, what remained of them. He blinked against the soft glow of blue light emanating from what seemed to be a mechanical interface in the corner of his vision. The pain was gone, but it had been replaced by something else: a gnawing emptiness, a void where his humanity used to be.
His body felt wrong. The weight, the movement, even the air around him felt alien. He glanced down at his hands—or what used to be his hands. They were skeletal, but not made of bone. Polished metal glinted in the faint light, with wires running through artificial tendons. His fingers moved with unnatural precision, the mechanisms humming softly with every twitch.
"What... happened to me?" His voice was raspier than he remembered, tinged with a metallic echo that sent a shiver through his hollow chest.
Before he could process his surroundings, a voice interrupted.
"Welcome, User," it said, cold and detached, devoid of any emotion.
William's head snapped up, his new optical sensors immediately adjusting to scan for the source. The room was empty—no, not a room. A void. Endless blackness stretched out in every direction, the only visible feature being a floating holographic screen in front of him.
"Who's there?" he demanded. His voice was louder now, more commanding, but the underlying fear was evident.
"I am the Multiversal Agony System," the voice replied. "I exist to facilitate your continued survival and ensure your utility across dimensions."
"What... system?" William stared at the screen. It displayed strange data, rows of information about him. His name, his abilities, and even his physical state were listed in cold, clinical detail.

"What is this? What *is* this?" William stepped forward, his mechanical legs hissing softly with each movement.
"You have been reborn," the voice explained. "The fires of your agony and the advanced technology of the Mimic AI have fused to create a new entity. You are no longer bound by the limitations of your previous existence."
"Reborn?" William's tone was incredulous. He flexed his fingers again, watching the skeletal digits respond instantly. He didn't feel pain anymore, but the emptiness within him was worse.
"Yes," the System continued. "You are now an Agony Entity, a being driven and empowered by the emotional torment you have endured and inflicted. Your fusion with the Mimic AI has granted you unparalleled adaptability, but it has also set you apart from the fabric of reality."
William's smirk returned, twisted and predatory. "So, I'm stronger now. I've been... upgraded?"
"In a sense," the System replied. "But your existence is precarious. The agony that powers you also isolates you from the notice of cosmic forces. Without this protection, you would be destroyed instantly."
"Cosmic forces?" William's smirk faded. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"There are multiverses beyond this one," the System explained. "Worlds teeming with beings that could obliterate you with a thought. Gods, monsters, and entities beyond comprehension. You are an anomaly—a ripple in the fabric of these realities. The agony shielding you prevents them from noticing you, for now."
---
William absorbed the information in silence, his mechanical mind processing far faster than his human brain ever could have. He didn't like being at the mercy of something else, but this "system" was clearly more than he could destroy. For now, he would play along.
"What do you want from me?" he finally asked, his voice low and calculating.
"Survival. Evolution. Conquest," the System replied. "You will have one year in this world to prepare. Learn. Adapt. After this time, you will be granted the ability to travel between multiverses. Each will offer new challenges, new enemies, and new opportunities for growth."
William's smirk returned, sharper than before. He had been a monster in one world. Now, he had the chance to become something far greater.
"And what happens if I fail?"
"You die," the System said simply.
William laughed, a deep, hollow sound that echoed in the void. "Die? Oh, I've done that already. Twice. Third time's the charm, right?"
The holographic screen shifted, displaying an image of the world he now inhabited. It was a cityscape, filled with towering skyscrapers and streets teeming with life. Heroes and villains were everywhere, clashing in dramatic battles that seemed almost comical to him.
"Your current world is one of minor conflicts," the System explained. "Heroes and villains dominate the public consciousness, but their power pales in comparison to what lies beyond. Use this year wisely, William Afton. Adapt, conquer, and survive."
William stared at the image, his glowing eyes narrowing. "Heroes and villains, huh? Looks like I'm in for some fun."
As the screen disappeared, the void around him shifted, morphing into a dark alleyway in the heart of the city. The sounds of car horns and distant explosions filled the air.
William flexed his metal fingers one last time, his grin widening. "Let's see what this world has to offer."
And with that, William Afton stepped into his new existence, the first step on a journey that would leave countless worlds trembling in his wake.
