Chapter 2

"Who said that?" I said while looking around

"I did" (?)

I look towards the deep, scratchy voice. Towards the entrance of the room, there stood an 8 foot tall man. He had scars across his entire body. He was carrying an unusually large sword. It was glowing with a bright blue aura.

"So you must be my target, huh." (Tarshall)

"It seems so, no one else would be foolish enough to come barging into my territory." (?)

I look him up and down, waiting for a chance to strike. The three bandits that remained from my previous fight quickly ran off.

"I don't know why you're checking me out, but..... let's get started!"

He quickly jumped forward leaving a crater in the stone floor. He swung his giant sword at me, but I dodged it. His sword split the ground, breaking everything in its path.

"You're a quick one! I would love to make you my slave! Arghahaha!" (?)

"And I would love to take your head!" (Tarshall)

I leaped towards him and tried to slice him, but he was too fast and jumped back before it cut his flesh. I picked up the dagger from before and threw it at him, He blocked it with his sword, but he didn't expect me to be running at him. I slashed his leg. It was too shallow to cut it off.

"You're really skilled! Now I have to make you my slave!" (?)

"[Lightning God's Sword]!" He yelled and his sword got engulfed in electricity. He slashed the air and a wave of electricity came rushing at me.

If I block this there's no doubt I will be electrocuted.

I jumped to avoid the attack, however I could not dodge in the air so I got kicked into a wall. The wall cracked.

"So that's your attack magic?" (Tarshall)

"Yes! How did you like that? It would've been better if you got hit so you wouldn't suffer!" (?)

"Hah, that attack wouldn't be strong enough to even scratch me!" (Tarshall)

"Big talk for someone who can't even use magic!" (?)

He lunged towards me and slashed downwards. I Ieaped to the side to avoid it, but he quickly changed the trajectory of the blade. I blocked his attack, but my sword cracked.

"What are you going to do with a broken sword! Arghahahaa!" (?)

"It's not broken yet!" (Tarshall)

I ran at him and he tried to slash me. I jumped and kicked off of his gigantic sword. I went to cut his neck, but he blocked it with his hand. My sword broke, however pieces of the blade went flying into his eyes. He tried to kick me, but I leaped back to avoid it.

"You got me good, but not good enough! [Earth Rumble]!" (?)

He plunged his sword into the ground and the entire post started shaking. The ceiling started falling apart and the walls were breaking. I quickly ran and grabbed the dagger. I escaped through the broken roof.

Though the building fell on him, he was still alive. Does he have protection magic? If he did they would have said so on the poster!

"How did you survive that?" (Tarshall)

"It was easy! I casted barrier magic around my body!" (?)

"Barri- How can you use [Holy Magic]?" (Tarshall)

"I don't need to tell you!" He said as another electric wave came flying towards me. I hid behind a fallen stone to protect myself.

"Stop hiding coward! You attack me in my territory then resort to hiding?! How pathetic!" (?)

"It's not hiding, it's called strategy!" (Tarshall)

I then came from behind him and attempted to stab his neck. He dodged it, but I jumped and kicked his back and he fell to his knees. I ran to stab his neck but he stood up and I stabbed him in the chest.

"I got you... now!" He said while coughing up blood.

I struggled to get out of his tight hold.

"I won't... die... to a shrimp like you!" (?)

Is he trying to crush me? I can't get out! If I don't get out I'll surely die!

I managed to get my right arm out and grapsed the dagger. I pulled it out and started stabbing his chest. He started squeezing harder, but it was of no use. His hold loosened up and he dropped me. Soon after he fell to the ground.

"Did- did he die of blood loss?" I said trying to catch my breath.

"That was a close fight, but I will get that reward!" (Tarshall)

I noticed his sword on the ground.

Since his sword is magic it will change its size to fit the person wielding it, right?

I went over and picked up his sword, and sure enough. It went from a massive 6 foot blade to a mere 3 foot blade.

"This is great! I'll claim this as a reward for this bounty along with the coin reward!" (Tarshall)

Since the post got destroyed, I noticed that there is a cellar door. I walked over to it and pryed it open. Inside, there was a staircase. I walked down and figured out though the dimly lit area, that it was a jail of some sort. I heard crying so I walked in the direction of it.

A few minutes of walking and I stumbled upon a cell. Inside there was a beast person, and in the corner there was what appeared to be a little girl, crying.

The beast person noticed me

"Help, please help us." (?)

Then the little girl saw

"Please sir! Help my brother!" She said while holding back tears.

Hmm, it appears that the beast person has a deep wound.

"Hold on, I'll try to help" I tried to bend the bars apart but they wouldn't budge. So, I swiftly slashed at the bars. They got cut so I went inside the cell.

"What happened? How'd you end up in this situation?" I asked while slowly giving the beast person the healing potion.

"We were low on money, s-so we went to the bounty board and saw that this bounty paid a lot." The little girl told me

"What's your name?" (Tarshall)

"My name- my name is Oakley, but Nanners calls me oat." (Oat)

"Nanners? Is that your brother's name?" (Tarshall)

"Yes." (Oat)

"Okay, so let's get you guys out of here." (Tarshall)

I pick up Nanners who was passed out from exhaustion, and carry him outside.

"Let's go back to the town, do you remember the way?" (Tarshall)

"Yeah, follow me." (Oat)

"Great!" (Tarshall)

We made it back to Cinnamon and I brought Nanners to the Doctor's office. I went to the guard's building and got my 10 silver reward. I used 1 silver to buy Oat and Nanners a room at the Inn for a few weeks.

"Hey, the doctor told me Nanners is going to be fine. He'll be out today." (Tarshall)

"Really? I'm so happy!" Oat said with an excited tone.

"Yeah, so he knows where to go when he gets out. See you later." (Tarshall)

"Thank you for all the help, Tarshall. (Oat)

I waved goodbye and went back to my run down house in the wilderness. Admiring my new sword every step of the way.
