The Calm

John had just let Alkahyin free from his blade. "Alkahyin, if you want to live fly this ship!" John yelled this at Alkahyin, with intensity in his voice. "Just get us out of here!"

Alkahyin started flying towards a translucent blue wall near the edge of the bay. "Alkahyin, STOP! You might kill us if we fly into that!" Alkahyin kept flying without taking anything that John had said into account.

Alkhayin replied very calmly, "Haven't you people ever seen a bay-wall before? We will be perfectly fine flying straight through it…" Alkhayin glanced at them quickly as if they were idiots. "We'll be completely fine," Alkahyin reassured the two. "Seriously…"

As soon as the ship had made it past the 'bay-wall' John and Jenny let out a sigh of relief. Just as they had started to calm down they looked behind, back at the ship, and sighed a sigh of disappointment. They weren't able to find Wesley, and now they had just left him.

Had this been the right choice?

"I don't feel right about this, John…" Jenny said. John only sighed.

John looked back again at the humongous ship, "Oh Sh*t! They're following us!?" John had absolutely no clue what to do. He wasn't taught anything about space chases as an AsCan.

Alkhayin had an idea "John, quickly go over to the left," Alkahyin pointed to the left of the large folding door. "There is a weapons system over there, they are old, and don't have much ammunition, but you can still defend us!"

John wasn't a fool, he had the knife and Alkhayin most likely had an ulterior objective. "No, Jenny you go use the weapons system, I'll watch Alkhayin."

Jenny ran down the hallway and slipped herself into a little pod facing behind the ship. There were two handles and a large red button on each of them. She wiggled the handles around to see what they did. Four large metal 'harpoons' moved directly in front of the window she was looking through, she stared down the town vessels following them "Oh! I've got this."

She aimed the harpoons as well as she could and pressed the large red button on the right handle. A harpoon fired from the right side of the pod, racing towards the spacecraft that was closer towards them.

The spaceship dodged easily, but the one behind them didn't have as much skill or luck. The harpoon zoomed past the first ship and impaled the front end of the second ship. "H*ll yeah! I got one!"

After being shot at the pursuers had permission to return fire, and they did exactly that. Harpoons flew straight at Alkhayin's ship but he was able to dodge them, besides one, which by Alkahyin's guess, penetrated right near one of the main thrusters.

"Sh*t this could be a really big issue. JENNY! Get him! We don't have long!!" Alkahyin yelled at Jenny from the other side of the spacecraft. If the spacecraft were to get destroyed Alkhayin would die right alongside them.

Jenny aimed and fired another harpoon but the ship dodged just as easily as before. Another harpoon was launched straight at Alkhayin's ship, it hit its mark, whereas Jenny missed again. Jenny only had one shot left, it would have to be a critical shot and she would need to hit it right now!

Jenny calmed down her breathing… "You can do this, just calm down," Jenny readjusted her hands and aimed the last and final harpoon at the pursuing ship. Jenny spoke to herself again "You can do this… Aim and…" Jenny hesitated, readjusting the harpoon one last time, "FIRE!"

Jenny watched, almost in slow motion, as the harpoon streamed out of the 'barrel' and flew at the opposing ship.

The ship had started to dodge… But this time it was too late, Jenny's harpoon had hit its mark, dead-center in one of the opposite ship's rocket engines. The enemy ship started to spin and slow down as soon as the harpoon had impacted it.

Alkhayin's ship was seriously damaged and in need of repairs. Jenny walked back into the flight room, "How long can we last after taking that much damage Alhayin?" she asked.

John spoke before Alkhayin could reply, "Good job Jenny, you took on two of them? That's really impressive."

Alkhayin responded to Jenny, "We don't have long… Is there a specific planet we're going to?" Alkhayin had been wondering where they were going as soon as he got kidnapped.

Jenny glanced at John, asking him to answer, "Yeah we're looking for a planet called Earth, can you take us there?" John asked.

Alkhayin pulled out a tablet from under the pilot's seat, "Hold on let me just check the map… I don't see any planets named Earth… Not in the next few solar systems, or even in this whole sect."

John and Jenny both frowned, "Well is there anywhere we can go to get away from your people?" Alkhayin began to feel guilty and didn't immediately answer John's question. John pulled out his knife, "Did you hear me, Alkhayin Almaqtul?" Alkhayin's face filled with regret as he recalled telling John his full name.

"Yes sir, let me check if there are any suitable planets far enough away from them… Also somewhere that we won't while die trying to make it to in this ship." Alkhayin commented.

"Okay, there's this planet called Keplin, its surface is breathable and it has a low military presence." John and Jenny finally heard some 'good' news for once.

"Okay, then take us there, as long as the ship can handle it," John smiled "We'll finally be on solid ground again." John and Jenny both smiled now.

[30 Minutes Later]

Alkhayin sighed "Okay we're just about there, can you flip that switch?" Alkhayin pointed to a switch on the wall around three feet away from himself.

"What does it do?" John asked.

"It's a cloaking device, but it might not work with how damaged this vessel is."

John smiled, "You mean it turns us invisible? That's so cool!"

Alkhayin chuckled, and thought to himself "Are these guys complete idiots…"

They began their descent on to the planet. As they were around 900 feet away from the ground, Alkhayin, Jenny, and John all heard a significant *ding* on the side of the ship, like metal hitting metal at an extremely fast speed.

John and Jenny looked down at the ground, "Ah sh*t, can't we just catch a break? This is so ridiculous."
