The next morning, the sunlight filtered through the curtains again, gently waking us up. Shiyun and Ling'er stirred beside me, their eyes slowly opening to meet mine. The warmth of their smiles reassured me that, despite the challenges ahead, we had a strong foundation.

I kissed them both gently and got up to freshen up. After getting ready I ordered some breakfast while Shiyun and Ling'er got ready.

After a quick breakfast, I received a call from Chu Bai. "Mr.Lin, Lawyer Shi, has some updates regarding the case for you. He's waiting for you in the lobby."

"I'll be right there," I replied, finishing my coffee. Turning to Shiyun and Ling'er, I said, "I need to go meet with Lawyer Shi. It shouldn't take long."

They nodded, their expressions a mix of hope and concern. "We'll stay here," Shiyun said softly.

In the lobby, Lawyer Shi stood waiting, a professional yet determined look on his face. "Good morning, Mr.Lin," he greeted, extending his hand and bowing slightly.

"Morning, Lawyer Shi," I replied, shaking his hand. "What's the news?".

"We've made significant progress," he began, handing me a new folder. "Regarding Miss Shiyun's ex-husband, Jiang Wei, I've gathered sufficient evidence of his neglect and endangerment. This will greatly strengthen our case for child custody." He narrated while I was looking through pages.

"Excellent," I said, flipping through the documents. "And Li Wei?"

"We've managed to narrow down his location further. With the help of my informers and a local detective, we should have him in custody soon," Mr. Shi assured.

"Good work," I said, feeling a sense of relief. "Let's make sure everything is ready to move forward as soon as we have him."

As I left the lobby, my phone buzzed with another message, this time from the local police. They had received a tip about Li Wei's whereabouts and wanted to act quickly and coordinate with me to identify him.

Back in the suite, I shared the updates with Shiyun and Ling'er. Their relief was palpable, and we discussed our next steps with renewed optimism.

That afternoon, I met with the police at a nearby cafe. Detective Zhang, a seasoned officer with a stern yet kind demeanor, laid out the plan. "Mr. Lin, thank you for the information and cooperation, we'll move in tonight. We have a reliable source confirming Li Wei's location."

"Great! I'll be there," I said firmly. "This needs to end quicklyß."

As night fell, I prepared to join the police operation. Shiyun and Ling'er wished me luck, their trust giving me strength. The police van was parked discreetly down the street, and I climbed in, nodding to the officers inside.

Detective Zhang briefed the team, and we set off. The tension in the van was palpable, but I felt a calm determination. This was the moment we'd been working towards.

The operation went smoothly. Li Wei was apprehended without incident, his surprise evident as the officers closed in. I watched from a distance, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders.

Back at the hotel, I found Shiyun and Ling'er waiting anxiously. Their faces lit up when they saw me, and I pulled them into a tight embrace. "It's done," I whispered. "Li Wei is in custody."

The following two days went by as a blur of legal proceedings and preparations. Lawyer Shi worked tirelessly, ensuring all the paperwork was in order. Shiyun and Ling'er stood strong, their resolve unwavering.

Finally, on the fourth day the court session started. In the courtroom, Mr. Shi presented our case with precision and confidence. The judge reviewed the evidence, and after what felt like an eternity, delivered the verdict. Shiyun was granted full custody of her child, and Li Wei was sentenced to prison and ordered to pay his debts.

As we left the courthouse, a sense of triumph and relief washed over us. We had faced our challenges head-on and emerged victorious. That night, we celebrated our victory, cherishing the newfound peace and freedom.

Even lawyer Shi and Chu Bai were present in the celebration. We enjoyed the food and drinks at the hotel. Lawyer Shi was promoted on a higher post in the same branch office due to my satisfied review.

"Thank you my friend if you ever need any help from me, don't ever hesitate I'm just a call away" I said patting Chu Bai's shoulder.

We moved out of Baiyun Hotel after clearing all bills which I made Chu Bai forcefully accept saying " If I started using my authority carelessly my buisness empire will fall one day". I was able to clear all the bills using my new sign-in rewards.

Shiyun's son moved in with us to Dayi villa but was somewhat irritated by my presence near his mother.

One evening, as we sat on the balcony watching the sunset, I turned to them and said, "We've come a long way, and we've done it together. I promise to always protect and cherish you both.

"Shiyun and Ling'er smiled, their eyes reflecting the same promise. "And we'll always be here for you," Shiyun said softly.

With that, we leaned into each other, the warmth of our love a constant reminder of the strength we found in unity. The challenges we had faced had only made us stronger, and we knew that whatever the future held, we would face it together.
