Making Moves in Secrecy!

The following morning, the first rays of dawn crept through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. Shiyun and Ling'er were still nestled against me, their soft breaths a comforting rhythm. I felt a profound sense of peace, a certainty that together we could overcome any obstacle.

Carefully, I slipped out of bed, trying not to disturb them. As I dressed, my mind returned to the tasks at hand. The investigation into Shiyun's ex-husband and locating Ling'er's runaway husband were paramount. I knew I had to plan meticulously to ensure their safety and our future.

As I stepped out into the living room, my phone buzzed with a message from Chu Bai: "Morning, Mr.Lin. Got a lead on Ling'er's husband. Meet me in the lobby in thirty minutes".

I replied quickly, confirming the meeting. Taking a deep breath, I went back to the bedroom to leave a note for Shiyun and Ling'er, explaining that I had some important business to attend to and would be back soon. Before leaving, I kissed them both gently on their foreheads.

In the lobby, Chu Bai was waiting, a folder in hand. "Morning," he greeted, handing me the folder. "Here's what I've found so far".

"I opened the folder, scanning the documents. Ling'er's husband, Li Wei, had been sighted in several locations, but always just out of reach. Chu Bai had managed to gather enough information to narrow down his current whereabouts.

"This is good work, Chu Bai. We're getting closer," I said, my determination renewed.

Chu Bai nodded. "We'll catch him. It's only a matter of time. In the meantime, what do you plan to do with Jiang Wei?".

"I've got a few things in mind, but I want to make sure we're fully prepared before taking any action," I replied. "For now, focus on finding Li Wei. Once we have him, we can tackle both problems together."

"Understood, boss," Chu Bai said, a look of resolve on his face.

"I said you could drop the BOSS part, remember?"

"Isn't this professional?" Chu Bai asked doubtfully. "No it is personal for me". I said.

"Ok BO...., I mean Lin Feng" I just smiled and nodded at his quick wits.

After our meeting, I returned to the suite. Shiyun and Ling'er were awake, sitting on the bed and chatting quietly. Their faces lit up when they saw me.

"Good morning, husband," Shiyun said, her voice filled with warmth.

"Good morning, darling," Ling'er added with a playful grin.

I smiled at them, feeling a deep sense of contentment. "Good morning, my loves. I have some updates.

"I shared the information about Li Wei with them, and we discussed our next steps. They listened intently, their trust in me evident in their eyes. As we talked, I felt even more determined to protect them and ensure our happiness.

After discussing for some time I went out of the hotel and took a cab to the nearest local law firm. After reaching my destination I went to the reception to ask for any criminal lawyer who's free.

I was asked to wait in the waiting area untill then, becoming bored sitting still for 30-40 minutes I remembered that I have an unused sign in opportunity. "Sign In" I sad in my mind and waited in suspense.

It didn't took time and the results came in an instant. I was expecting some properties or something but I got what I needed right now.

Instead of waiting here cluelessly I got up and went back to the hotel. While on the way I got a call "Hello is this Mr.Lin Feng I am speaking to?".

"Yes, who's this" I asked, "Ah..excuse me I'm Li Wang (Director, and Chief Global Partner) of Deheng Law Offices".

"I called you regarding your recent acquisition of 78% of the companies shares, and if there any instructions for us".

"Continue your work as you were, do worry about me. Oh by the way are there any law firms under our company in Guangzhou? If ther are any, I want a lawyer experienced in the field of crime and divorce."

"There are some that come to my mind, where do you want to meet them?", "I'm staying at baiyun hotel, yuexiu, ask him to come there and find general manager Chu Bai there".

"Ok I'll do so Mr.Lin"

"That's it for now" I said and ended the call, after reaching hotel I informed Chu Bai about the lawyer coming to the hotel and asked him to notify me.

The lawyer came after an hour and without introduction I handed him the two envelops "Read them first then we'll talk all we want, I said, "Ok sir!" he bacame serious as he said this and started going through the papers I provided.

"These are very common occurring cases sir. They are easy for me, do you want me to fight for or against them" he asked keeping the documents back on the table and looking at me.

"What's your name" I asked "Jianjun Shi, sir!" he said. I laughed out loud listening to him "You calling me sir means they must've informed you about me in detail, am I right."

He hesitated a little and just nooded, I just smile and said "I want you to fight against them, I want ex-wife to get the child's custody and I want the runaway guy to go to prison and pay his debt himself after completing his divorce with his wife".

"All this should be done as soon as the runaway guy gets caught, if you need any updates, the general manager of Baiyun Hotel will cooperate with you".

"No sir, everything will be executed as you wish. I'll even use my informers to search for the runaway guy so everything is done even more quickly" he said. I got up and patted his shoulder with a smile on my face "Hope you do a good job Mr.Shi!" I said and left without looking back.

The day passed with a mix of planning and enjoying each other's company as I gave them the updates on their ex-husband's. We made preparations for the upcoming challenges, but also took time to relax and strengthen our bond. In the evening, we sat together, the weight of our plans balanced by the warmth of our love.

As night fell, we returned to bed, the comfort of each other's presence a soothing balm. Shiyun and Ling'er snuggled close, their breaths even and calm.

"I love you both," I whispered, feeling a surge of affection.

"We love you too," they replied softly, their voices filled with emotion.

With that, we drifted into a peaceful sleep.
