CHAPTER 2 :The Thing

Third Person's POV

Fast-forward to thirteen years later. Jamie is now in high school living a normal but no so normal life. He was the socially awkward and extremely introverted kid. Everybody thought he was weird except for Paul, his best friend.

Paul was also an introvert I suppose that's why it was easier for him to Understand Jamie but he possessed better social skills than Jamie.

Jamie's Pov

I dreamt of it again; the dark figure, the dark shadow. It was humanoid in shape and I have been seeing it since I was a kid, since I was 2 years old I think.

The first time I saw it I told my parents but they convinced me that it wasn't real and thus I ignored it or simply hid my face whenever I saw it. The last time I saw it or him I was 6 years old but seeing it again last night, something was different. It was closer than it usually is, it usually does nothing except to stand there and stare at me. *sighs*

I walk into the classroom and walk straight to my position which of course is in front of Paul. Something hits my head from behind, I turn around and as expected it was the class bully Casper throwing chewed up pieces of paper at me. For some reason Casper enjoys making my life a living hell but atleast he has never physically attacked me before and I was grateful for that.

Classes ended hours ago but I stayed back at the school because the science group had a meeting, I mean it was already late and getting dark but I had to stay back. I am currently on my way to the meeting, as I was strolling past the chemistry laboratory I heard shuffling and rufflings inside the lab. The lab usually closes by 1pm everyday and is always locked to avoid vandalism not to mention the lab is not used today.

I walked to the laboratory door and as expected it was locked from the outside, I could still hear the noises coming from the inside, my curiosity got the best of me and I had to know what was making the noises, I wish I never did.

I walked.up to the window and leaped up and there it was, I saw it. There is no mistaken it, it was the shadowy figure from my dreams, it was moving around aimlessly as if it was confused; I gasped and with an unimaginable, swift and inhuman speed it turned it's face and our eyes met eachother. In my dreams it had no eyes but looking at it now it's eyes glowed bright red, I was petrified and couldn't move. I just waited for it to attack me, for it to consume me or anything but it just stood there, at the exact same spot gazing at me as if in disbelief that I could see it.

In that moment I regained my composure and I ran......
