Chapter 17

Everyone gathered in what was left of the enormous library, holding candles and flowers. Queen Crystalia's body had been gently placed on a dusty chaise-lounge, surrounded by books and flowers. Her Crystal Orb was shattered, and the blue stained pieces spread into a C shape. Eyes closed, everyone was sobbing. An old man walked up next to the queen. He held up some cue cards, and began his speech; "Oh, Crystalia, my one and only sister, you have left this world, and we are most upset. However, you were a marvellous queen, and all of us shall miss you. But now it is time, for us to say our farewells and may you rest in honour and royalty." He finished his speech, saying he was proud for all her accomplishments and courage. A round of applause echoed as Tyla walked up. She read the leaf letter aloud, but started crying.

The funeral ended and the Grade Fives went down to breakfast in the village. It was hard to eat, but they cheered up when a gnome came and whispered in Tyla's ear. She smiled and announced, "Emie has some good news, the portal back to your world has been restored and you should be good to head home tonight!" The Grade Fives cheered. However, before you go," said Tyla, "I have something for you!" She rushed into her hut and came out with many little, round packages. "These are everlasting ploites. If you ever have a problem or want to come visit, you can touch it and it will bring you here!" The Grade Fives thanked Tyla as she handed them around. They all continued eating. The light clouds overhead uncovered the bright sun and the sad aroma of the kingdom became warmer. Only then, did the Grade Fives really discover the beauty of the kingdom. Birds sang in the pastel trees, and the flow of a waterfall by the village could be heard. Would they really be leaving this magical world?
